It is the end of a long weekend and many of us had that extra day off...........if you count BBQing for the family, making the macaroni salad and gardening but it was off nonetheless. How was your day? Did you get to relax in that old hamock or recline in that old porch swing? What did everyone do today?

I am so far behind in reading posts I really do not know where to begin. I guess at the bottom and work my way up. It has been a busy week with the upcoming one not looking any better. Between two back to back weekends racing with Bill and the boys we spent a better part of this weekend doing garden work, cleaning out our back patio and watching Katie at her first horse show. Got the front garden beds done with flowers and mulch. Got the patio emptied, cleaned and put back together. Got Katie to the show yesterday but it was not a good day for her. Unfortunatley our weather was extremely warm in Riverhead which made for a very long day. We had too many girls sharing these horses and unfortunatly the horse we paid for never got to go. He threw 2 girls off and broke his halter putting him back on the trailer and leaving Katie and Shaylan crying. They did ride another pony but not one they had practiced on, leaving them with low points. Actually Katie had herself so upset and between that and the hot weather she got sick inbetween jumping rounds.........she got disqualified because she did her last coarse wrong. Now we have some horse issues that will require me putting more time into driving out east to work with Dan or find something closer to home. Either way the next few weeks will be interesting. Today we did the clean up and had a small BBQ with Bill's parents and well what started with just our childern turned into 4 more (22 and 21 year olds). It was a nice family day! I hope you are all well and I am sorry I missed everything new around here. Give me a day or two to catch up.

Hey Deb!

During the holiday weekend, we saw “Pirates III”, went wine-tasting, out to dinner with outside romantic candlelight and those strings of little white lights,
