This my friends is where I'd like to spend the entire month of June. Or even just today! No xy's(cabana boys don't count) no work issues, in fact no issues at all. Just the FOF group hanging out and loving life. Can everyone be ready to leave by 10???

Anything you'd like to accomplish or resolve

Good Morning,

Another sunny day here on LI and temperatures headed towards 90 with some of that good hair frizzing humidity thrown in. AC's are slowly being installed back in windows and readying ourselves for the change over from heating bills to cooling bills.

I'm so very glad that it's Friday and glad that there is a paycheck connected to this Friday. At least there is a small prize for subjecting myself to what some days feels like going to the place called work. There are just some days that I would like to sit with a headset on, do my work and not have to listen to the other voices around me. I guess a lot of us are having work related issues these days. Are the moon and stars not aligned correctly?

No workout for me this morning. I wanted to keep the salon look and feel of my newly done "do" for an extra day. Really loving it this morning. Mostly vanity that kept me in bed this morning although the extra hour wasn't bad either!

Nothing else going on around here. Just more or less waiting for the 5PM closing bell to sound. I may stop at the library after work. I'm trying to find something new to read. I've started at least 3 books I have here at home. Sometimes I just can't figure out what type of book I feel like reading and have to do some trial and error until I figure it out.

Patty-I'll be ready and waiting for you at 9:45. Bag is packed and ready (next to the cardboard box & dirty laundry pile). You're leaving a note?

Rhonda-glad that found the pneumonia early on for your dad and hope he's on the mend. Hope everything goes well for you on Monday.

Everyone with work related issues-I really hope they improve for everyone. And to everyone not feeling well or not quite themselves I hope the upcoming weekend brings some relief.

Off to do the Friday Five and then on to my domestic goddess duties before changing hats and heading off with my armor and sword ready to go slay some dragons.

Hope everyone has a fabulous and fantastic Friday!

I so dislike this funk I am in.........makes me want to eat chips, cake, icecream..........but instead I had a scrambled egg white. I was really thinking bakery this morning...........cheesecake muffin. Well I need to hurry and get in the shower for I do have to go in today. One of the ladies asked me on Tuesday if I could cover her since she has no one to help with her mother today. What could I say? I was exteremely cool to the afternoon gal yesterday, her inconsiderate behavior on Wednesday really pissed me off. I left the office at 2:00, ran and did a few errands, took Katie to the dentist at 4:00 (she is going to need braces), then came home to make Katie and I some dinner. I grilled a few chicken cutlets then headed to the nail salon for my fill in. Back home to fix some dinner for Bill and the boys putting me on the couch sometime around 9:30. Not good, I guess it was after 11 when someone came and got me. Looks like a nice day today but another busy one. Hope you all have a wonderful day and I will try like heck to be back later.

It is already a fabulous Friday for me, because I woke up with NO PAIN in my hips and my feet didn't sound like Rice Krispies when I got up!!!! Incredible! I've been hurting so badly after Zumba classes, but I noticed when I got in bed last night that I didn't hurt. What a revelation! I hadn't taken any Tylenol or put my magnets on. The only thing different I can attribute it to is one or more of the supplements I've been taking. Two of them are for joint health. I started one a few days ago, but I didn't notice the difference until I started the one I got by UPS yesterday. It's one of the 2 formulas I read that a dr. with fibromyalgia takes. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop taking it until after the injections Monday, because I noticed it has willowbark in it (for pain), which aspirin is made from, and that could increase bleeding and bruising. I'm really not supposed to take aspirin at all, but I'm sure the amount of willowbark in this is much less than in an OTC pain reliever. Anyway, I am thrilled for the relief! I even slept better, because I didn't hurt.

It's the first day of June and the first day of hurricane season, the one season of the year I dread as much as winter. We currently have tax free purchase days on hurricane supplies. We really should get a generator for if we lose power for days. Even a smaller one that would keep the refrigerator, hot water heater, and ceiling fans would be a major help. Our neighbor has one big enough to keep his AC going, but it went through 35 gallons of gas like Rosie O'Donnell with victims!!

I have a 9:30 Zumba class this morning. Those are always harder to get up for than the evening ones, but since I'm feeling better this AM it's not nearly as much effort. Maybe the anti-fatigue formula is helping some too. That would be tremendous!

I have to be at the nursing home in time to have lunch with Dad, since it's Mom's hair appt. day. She also has a guy coming to the house this morning to finish doing some work on her doors. Rob's truck should be ready this afternoon, so we'll be picking that up. I hope the lawn mower will be ready, as well.

Found out the seamstress sewed only one of the buttons that was off the slacks I took to her, and it was the wrong one for the size button hole. Now, I guess I'll have to take those back when I go pick up drycleaning. I hate having to do things twice to get them right.

I finally got a letter written to the girl we sponsor in Haiti. It's taken me so long, and I feel really bad about it. She'd requested pictures of us, so I kept waiting to get some. I got one of our family at the graduation and included Jackson's 6 month picture. She'll probably be in shock when it arrives. The translator will be in shock when s/he sees the length of it!! LOL!

Guess I'd better grab something to eat and get dressed. More later.

I'm the same way about books. I have 3 very different books to start, but wound up starting with The Abs Diet for Women. I feel that's the most urgent for me. It has a tremendous amount of science in it to explain why they advocate eating a certain way and why we shouldn't do low fat, low carbs, or any other exclusionary type of diet. They don't even like to call this a diet. They do stress we should focus on eating 6 small meals (3 meals, 3 snacks) a day, because older women can metabolize 500 calories at a time much better than 1,000, and it keeps our blood sugar more even and helps us feel more satisfied. There are 12 super foods we should always eat, plus there's a very different recipe for a super smoothie. I need to get all the ingredients and give it a try.
