I didn't make it to the board this morning so I'm getting a jump start on the check -in.

Sounds as though your trip to Kohl's was very successful. How fun! I go in cycles with Kohl's where I'll buy a number of things, then not go for months. We have a big, new one 2 miles from us, which is nice. One of my cousins does the stocking of their Hallmark cards and stuff at that store and one other in town.

Keep up the good work with your eating and exercise.

It's been the typical busy trying to cram everything you want to do, should do and have to do Saturday. I spent the majority of the day doing housecleaning. The box still remains in my living room and I just vaccumed right around it It was warm and humid here today so by midday I had to close up the windows and turn on the ac. Otto was wandering from room to room trying to find a place that was cool. He won't stay in a room with the door closed and the ac on but seems to like it when the main one is on. You could tell he was hot since he usually spends most of his weekends outside-but not today. .

By later in the afternoon the sun had shifted so I was able to go out and do the weeding in my little flower patches and put down the mulch. DH could only get one bag of the red mulch and I didn't have enough to cover the whole area I wanted to cover. They were supposed to get more in this afternoon but by 5PM I didn't really want to get into the car and go over there. That will just have to wait a while longer. By 5:30 I realized that I hadn't even thought of dinner so I started going through the freezer. Lots of unidentifiable frozen objects in there. Tossed out some things and found some turkey sausage, hamburgers and a chicken burger that looked like they were still edible so I threw those on the grill.

Otto was very enthused to see his leash come off the hook and dragged me at least 2 blocks before coming to his first stop. It was still quite humid out but there was enough of a breeze blowing that it made for an enjoyable walk.

I'm all showered, moisturized and smelling pretty. I'm about ready to sit myself down and try to come up with some dinner menus for the coming week.

Hope everyone has had a good day and sweet dreams to all!

Yes I did get to the library after work on Friday. My DD and I enjoy a lot of the same books and she had read the Secret Lives of Bees and enjoyed it so that was one of my selections. I also picked up another book by Chris Bohjalian "Before You Know Kindness". He wrote Midwives which I read several years ago. Not sure I'll get through both before they're due back but I tend to read more in the summer since I sit outside a lot in the evening.

Nothing exciting happening here. Tim did come home this afternoon for a nice nap. The rain had stopped, but it was still overcast, so good napping weather. I got a few loads of laundry done, cleaned a little, did some research on the internet, read the paper, vacuumed, and stuff like that.

I fixed a big salad with buttercrunch lettuce, spinach, shredded carrots, cucumber, plum tomatoes, pine nuts, hard cooked eggs, and white tuna. Rob added a can of tuna to his half and had ranch dressing. I had some delicious orange sesame dressing. I should be feeling healthier, right?? I need to get the dumbbells out and do some of the exercises in the Abs Diet book.

Tim went back to work and I've been emailing with him about our "social calendar" this week. Usually, we have nothing to do, but with a couple of birthdays and stuff hitting in the same week, we're juggling dates. Mom's birthday is Thursday, Erin's is Thursday, and Rob's best friend leaves for Marine boot camp the following Monday. So...since it's easier for Lisa to go out on a weekend, we'll probably celebrate Mom's birthday dinner Friday night, will go to Orlando for Erin's on Saturday evening till Sunday afternoon, and hope to get together with Brandon's family this Thursday evening.

I may try to watch Saturday Night Live, but want to read more of my book first. Still need to get my bath and wash my hair for church tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's been quiet on the board at night lately.

Karen,

Reading your post about "old friends" possibly stopping by tomorrow and I wanted to give my my 2 cents...I say close the laundry room door and stuff everything else until another day.

Just a suggestion -- Unless you like a grid look, which some people do as a design element,
