Good morning everyone. I spent yesterday finishing up this chicken flock and wondering just how many times flo intends to come see me in a 2 wk period of time. I wish she would find her theme!

Good Morning,
A rainy day to start off the day and the week. We've really needed some rain but somehow rainy days and Mondays well you know the rest.
I have an early morning doctor's appt with the GI doctor so it's sort of thrown off my regular morning routine. I'm thinking that this will finally be the last visit with him for a while. He's seems to have figured out what the problem was and I haven't had any problems as of late so his idea seems to have worked.
I did get up and get the week started with a ride on the stationary bike and my toning series. I get a nice ride on my bike yesterday. Raindrops falling on my head had me pedaling home and I got home and my bike put away before the real rain got started.
Well, better get moving. I still have to get dressed and ready for work. I was supposed to have a 7AM appointment tomorrow but they switched me to today at 8. Hopefully that will get me to work on time.
Hope everyone has a great start to the the new week ahead.

I'm a little nervous about my dr. appt. this morning, but kind of excited too. I'll be glad when it's over and will let you know how it went.
Nancy, before I forget again, just wanted to let you know Rob was pleasantly surprised to get your card and appreciated it very much. :-)
Yesterday, was a gorgeous sunny, breezy day with low humidity. It was still 92 at 4:30. Tim met me at the nursing home after I went to church. I was glad we went straight there, because Mom was running late, so at least Dad had us there at lunch. She arrived before lunch was over. Tim and I left about 1:40 to have brunch at Cracker Barrel. While there, I found a really cute fireworks T for Mom to put aside as part of her birthday present, a cute Born in the USA onesie for Jackson, and one of those sleeping, "breathing" cats that looks almost like Dad's dear cat he just lost recently. I wrestled over whether it would be a comfort or an upsetting reminder, but the girl there told me the inventor created it for his mother who was in a nursing home and couldn't have pets, so I felt that was a sign. She also said I could return it if it upset him, so I got it.
Tim was going to go back to work, but decided to come back with me to see Dad's reaction. I think he was a little puzzled at first, but then really seemed to warm up to it. By the time the nurse came in and commented on it, he told her it was the best one he'd seen. I think the fact that it looks as though it's alive but just sleeping might make him feel he's not as alone when no one is there to visit and it may be a comfort to him. It's the closest thing he can have to his beloved pet.
