Not so interesting day at work. I managed to keep myself occupied and out of trouble for the most part but round about 4PM I just want to bolt.

It's been a rather nasty weather day. Rain this morning and the sun never appeared. In fact it was a bit on the chilly side although it's warm and stuffy in the house.

Came home and had some dinner and then headed out for an Otto walk. We met up with Lobo and Oz and then the treat of all treats Cody and the "cookie lady". Otto is just embarrasing-before she even starts distributing the treats Otto is right there trying to snatch the entire bag for himself. Then as they're distributed he's waiting for one of the other dogs to drop a piece and he's right there to snatch it up. You just can't take him anywhere! As we got to the park we met up with someone else walking two dogs. So as we traveled through the park we were quite the sight. A whole big dog walking trail! It's funny we all know each other's dog's names but not each others. We finally introduced ourselves so at least we know the dogs and owners names!

DD had a bit of a depressing day. One of the women that works in the office at the school where she teaches was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She's a very well liked person at the school who will go out of her way for anyone and always is there when you need something done. They were hoping that she was in the early stages of the disease but she had surgery today but unfortunately the cancer has already spread. She's only 51 and has 3 children who are about my kids ages. Very sad for everyone.

I'm waiting for DS to finish up in the shower and then need to head up to the kitchen to clean up for the night. I'm almost done with my book and hoping that I'll be able to finish it this evening. Absolutely nothing else on my agenda and hope to be in bed by 10.

Hope everyone has had a good day and a good night's rest is had by all!

You two certainly do need a do over! That sounds like a very nasty fall Rick had and glad he wasn't seriously injured. Hope your hand is ok and I'm sure you would have much appreciated a good hair day!

Hope tomorrow is a much better day!

Sorry to read about your thumb and Ricks fall. I agree that you both deserve do overs ! (Notice a pattern here?). I really hope Rick is alright and I am glad he did not hurt his head. I hope you both feel better.
