Good morning everyone! Jazzerdeb, Bob says thanks for the steak :) Lori, so excited for you about the trip to see your mom. Have a great time! Cl-Deb, hope Billy's foot is ok and the cyst are just what the drs think. I know this is easy for me to say but you are pushing yourself so much, any way to slow down??
In CL 2 of my houses are computerized. Some days it makes my work easier and some days not. In theory the 2 computerized houses should be doing the best because everything is set up to run

Good Morning,
And a happy hump day to you too!
It was another one of those nights for me. I actually found myself nodding off doing a crossword puzzle after dinner. Otto and I ventured out a bit later than usual after the sun was a bit lower and the temperature just a bit cooler. I came home and attempted to read but kept reading the same thing over and over and just couldn't stay awake. I finally ended up in bed about 9:30 only to wake up at 11:30 thinking it was time to get up. It was toss and turn until after 2 and then I finally fell into a deep sleep. I don't even remembering turning off the alarm but apparently I did. I just can't seem to shake this overwhelming feeling of being tired and I'm just cranky! Not enough time to get in any kind of workout.
It's another HHH day here on LI. It will be refrigerator like at work and I'm running the acs to get the indoor temperature down before leaving for work so I won't have to worry about Otto.
I still haven't done the things I need to do around here so I'd better get at it this morning. I'm putting together a salad for dinner this evening and trying to solve a wardrobe dilema since I haven't ironed and have just discovered I have a bill due that is going to be late if I don't tend to it and still have to finish getting ready for work.
Hope everyone has a great day!

A wonderful start to the day (finally cooled down here) although I did hit the snooze on the alarm and wished I could have hit it again several times when it did go off again.
You wouldn't even want to see the electric bill we just got with the central AC and the pool heater going!! I'm sure it probably looks like your winter heating bill would to us.
I've seen people use fake owls to help scare birds away. You might try one of those along with the noise. Good luck!

Adding the fake owl and the gutter screen (the low-cost one Erin suggested) is next.

We've had the circus report, now it's time for the zoo... Tim's sister had a major meltdown yesterday. He referred to it as a psychotic break. He had been with her for 1 1/2 hours before I got there. I wound up getting his nephew to stay the night with her, and Tim is contacting the dr. about her today. We think she needs to be hospitalized.
Got an email this morning that one of my sister's dearest friends passed away from cancer this morning. Lisa was sitting with her holding her hand until about 10 PM last night. Her daughter, Alexa's, first name is Blakeley, which is named after this fine woman. When it became inevitable, I started praying for her to go quickly and peacefully. Her husband had a major stroke 7 or 8 years ago and became wheelchair bound and can barely speak. No one dreamed he would outlive her. She was a retired attorney and such a neat lady.
I got a lot of packing done last night. Updated my packing list and am doing some last minute laundry, so I can get squared away except for make-up and other last minute items. I'm taking only bermudas, no slacks, no skirts, just casual.
Got 2 cute pairs of shoes yesterday from 2 different Dillard's. One pair is black leather with open toes and sling backs on a moderately high, cork,
