Patty I will pass on the extra husband too, mine is enough. The chicken too unless its seasoned and ready to eat, lol. I have enough animals in this house. Rob starts his Tuesday and Thursdays at his friends body shop so I needed to grab my shower early. I was thinking about going to work at 8:00 but figured I would enjoy my breakfast while thumbing through the store flyers. I need a grocery order but I am putting that off until the end of the week. We are planning a BBQ tomorrow with just Bill's folks and mine so I have already the makings of cole slaw & macaroni salad. I have a huge steak in the freezer and someone gave us some stripped bass fish. I think those thrown on the BBQ should be enough. Give those burgers and dogs a rest!

Hi Princess -- I love your suggestion about an extra class on the 4th! I just started tennis lessons last Wednesday and I was bummed that we were "off" this week because there was no class on the 4th. So the instructor said I could come to the Monday class -- which I "crashed" last night. They are more advanced (its hard not to be more advanced than me!) and the challenge was really fun! I guess my walking and bicylcing (starting in March) has paid off because I worked my butt off last night and this morning, did my 2.1 mile walk with the dog with no ill effects! 48 is turning out not to be so bad!

Now if I could just get my 13 year old son to love physical activity like I do. He went on two bike rides with us over the weekend; one was ten miles. We rewarded him with a road bike purchase Sunday night. After all, he has grown four inches since his old bike was purchased two years ago. I am going to take him out on a ride tonight; out for ice cream. Mom is getting in shape and wants to bring him along!

He says his generation is all about TV and computers and I don't understand. Oh, I understand all right!

Any advice?

Have a great day ladies,

Marianne

Good Morning,

A beautiful day here on LI not such a good day for DD in MA. Just had a very tearful conversation with her-seems that my old 93 Taurus that she's been driving has perhaps had its last ride. I haven't liked some of the things she's been saying that it's been doing and she's been procrastinating about getting a new car. She didn't want to take on the additional expense of car payments for a few more months. Unfortunately I think she's going to have to. Of course she didn't do what I told her to do about some money that was been put away for her and now doesn't have immediate access to those funds and won't have the entire down payment that she wants to make. DH apparently laid a huge guilt trip along with a few I told you so on her about the maintenance on the car and that whole conversation sent her into the tears-he's very good at laying on guilt trips and making you feel worse than you already do and make an already bad situation into something worse. The car isn't worth investing any kind of money into and by the sounds of it she has transmission problems. I'm grateful that she at least was able to safely get off the interstate and back home to her BF's house. So she didn't get to work today and her BF's roommate who works at the same company is away on business so she has absolutely no transportation back and forth to work. I don't know what's she's going to do. So that's how the day started.

I apparently never set my alarm this morning and the next thing I knew it was time to get up and get into the shower. I knew I was exhausted last night when at 8:30 I was ready to climb into bed. I was watching something I had Tivo'd and the next thing I knew the program was apparently over and asking me if I wanted to delete it. It was an exhausting day at work.

So it's almost time to head off to work so I had better get started. Hope everyone has a great day!

Patty, you know I'd love a husband (and not just any eligible bachelor, either, mind you) but I'll have to settle for one that would have me, too, lol!
