Good morning! I'm thinking Rhonda heads home today, although yesterdays post shows how good my memory is! If you are heading home Rhonda, hope you have a safe trip. And

Not quite sure what my days holds except chickens. We have a stretch of 95+ days coming up so I'll need to stay close. Chickens aren't so big that the heat should be too hard on them which I'm thankful for.

Good Morning,
We're into the hot days as well. Although DH had the window closed the ceiling fan whirring around last night and I asked him this morning why at least the window was open and his response was I was comfortable. I had the house ac running most of the day so it was a bit of a shock to walk into a more than stuffy room. Once I opened the window it wasn't so bad.
I've been out and about bike riding through the neighborhood this morning. I love the peace and quiet of the neighborhood on the weekend mornings. People out for their morning runs and walking both with and without canine friends.
Grocery shopping on the agenda and then a manicure appointment. We already have a surplus of zucchini in the garden. We enjoyed some stir fried zucchini last night along with a green pepper from the garden that I mixed into a side dish of brown rice and a grilled pork tenderloin. I found a recipe for a pineapple zucchini bread that I may try out.
We may be headed out for dinner for a prebirthday celebration with DD and her BF and I think DS is even coming along. I'm not sure where we're going. They were leaving it up to me but I'm sort of torn on where I want to go.
That's about it from here on LI. Hope everyone enjoys a splendid Sunday!

Good morning lovely ladies!
Patty, you're right. I am heading home today. Hate to have to leave, but at least most of the MD crew are right on my heels in the car. Glad I checked my flight, because once again, it was changed. Looks as though everything "should" be OK. I'm leaving in a few minutes.
I have seen SO many deer since I've been here. Sometimes 30 or more in a day when we're riding the back country roads. Lots of Amish out and about too. It is so picturesque here. I looked out the bedroom window at 6:20 this AM and saw a big deer walking down the cul-de-sac in front of my sisters house. Something scared it and it bolted the other way. They have a lot of trouble with them eating their azaleas, but it's because all their habitat is being destroyed.
Spent until 11 PM last night finishing six 2' wide window boxes of silk flowers and greenery for my niece's front porch. We had taken 2 down and put them in place, and she loved them. Really adds bright spots of color to her beautiful house.
Better run. Hope all is well with everyone. I'll be taking off again (in the car) Tuesday afternoon.
Hugs,
Rhonda

Hope those deer don't get to your beautiful window boxes!
