Good morning. Did anyone notice yesterday was Moday according to my post? Today was almost Tuesday Moron. I really need to get glasses.

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.

Jazzerdeb has that quote under picture and I love it. First

Good Morning,

Another HHH day here on LI. And looks like we have another day or two before it breaks.

Moday for Patty yesterday and apparently I don't know how to spell "start" as I opened the dishwasher this morning expecting all nice clean and sparkly dishes and instead got a good whiff of yesterday's leftovers! Guess I never hit start!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a very nice day-a little bit too much celebrating and think as my canoe started traveling I think I lost a paddle and had to head back to shore! But a new day and got a late start to my workout this morning but I did get down there for 30 minutes of my toning DVD.

We're still in trial prep mode at work which is making for busy days. But I like when the day passes quickly.

Poor Otto hasn't been out for his nightly walk so hoping once the sun goes down a bit we'll be able to head out this evening.

Younger DD is headed for her first yoga class this evening. She's still without a car but her BF has been her personal chaueffer for wherever she's needed to go. I'm curious to see how she likes the class.

Well that's about it from my neck of the woods. Hope everyone is paddling smoothly upstream!

Have a great day!

I worked like a wild woman yesterday -- even surprised myself. Tim said it was 100 out, so it's no wonder I had to jump in the pool 4X while working in the yard in the heat of the day. I'm just not used to the heat the way I used to be, because I've done so little yard work this year. Here's how I celebrated Susan's birthday ;-), but you can skip it if you get bored:

Planted a flat plus extra purslane plants around pool and replanted some begonias

Weeded the entire flower and shrubbery bed around pool and the area around the AC and pool heater (very time consuming and back breaking)

Pulled up baby oak and maple trees in mulch around yard in front and back

Trimmed dead fronds from foxtail palms and fertilized all palms in back yard

Washed off parts of kool deck about 8 times

Wheeled wheelbarrow full of weeds and grass to driveway and put in 2 garbage cans; had Rob put cans by street

Planted 2 hibiscus bushes behind waterfall of pool

Raked out large garbage can of oak leaves Rob brought back for mulch around pool

Planted hops tree in side yard

Weeded side shrubbery bed

Pulled up 6 small, dead holly bushes

Trimmed 2 bushes in side yard

Trimmed shrubs in butterfly garden

Planted 2 groups of sunset colored cone flowers (Echinacea) in butterfly garden

Put new numbers on both sides of mailbox

Nailed No Trespassing sign on back gate

Planted 2 pots of lilies in front small flower bed

Washed off front sidewalk along front of garage

Planted 4 pots of alstroemeria in front flower garden

Scrubbed walls, woodwork, and doors in our hall

Scrubbed inside and outside of top of kitchen trash can

Took trash to outside can and put new bag in inside can

Filled dry food feeder for cats and one for dogs

Washed dishes and emptied dishwasher twice

Scrubbed our bathroom fixtures

Washed 6 loads of laundry, folded and put away or hung up in closets

Went to Walgreen’s for sunglass holder/necklace (forgot to take camera to have pix developed)

Went to Lowe’s for sign, nails, and stick-on numbers

Made list of things for Rob to do

Made list of things for Tim to do while we’re gone

Made packing list and list of things for me to do before we leave for Orlando

Cooked dinner

Soaked in hot Epson salts water, took ibuprofen, and put 3 magnets on my lower back!!

I was already really sore last night and all through the night. Probably didn't get to sleep until almost 5 AM and was still waking up and ready to go by 7. Not sure what's up with that, but I hope I'll keep the adrenaline going.

Cheryl, Lauren, and the girls got in yesterday evening and went straight to the nursing home. They got there about 6:30. We should all be there for lunch today. Hope it won't be too

Hi everyone -- what a great time of year for fitness. We had friends visiting this weekend(the Ducktour was a blast!) and went to Spectacle Island, which has a 2.5 mile trail up a drumlin, to a beautiful view of the harbor. Thanks to all my walking, I accomplished the trail without a second thought and enjoyed the view!

By spending time with my dear friend, I reinforced an important lesson for myself that I want to share with you. My friend has lost a lot of weight (motivated by a big family event recently). She did it by cutting down her food drastically and going to that popular women's only "gym" twice a week. She is really thin now. Well, ladies, my friend has very little strength or energy. She could not even think of taking the walk to the top of the hill with me. She can't ride a bike more than two blocks.

Ladies, I'll say it again, it is not just about the numbers on the scale: it is about health and fitness and loving our bodies and how they work, and enjoying our bodies as they were meant to be used.

For those of you who are just getting started: even a walk around the block is a good start. Enjoy the feeling of moving your legs ...Take a deep breath and enjoy the summer air ... fitness rocks!

And once you start to get into fitness, you'll find you want to fuel your body with healthy food to give you energy and strength ... blueberries, almonds, fresh summer peaches ... mmm mmmm!

I am glad I found this board; it really resonates to me for how I am feeling now, as I begin my 48th year.

Good morning.. I didn't notice the misspellings too, probably because I have a tendency to misspell and not use spell check.. What can I say .. too busy too notice and the eyes aren't what they used to be... Today is a cooler day here. Thankfully the HOT weather has moved east.

It is going to be in the 90s here...and as you've seen me report over the years, 75 is when we think it's really hot.
