Forgot about Deb/MN and the wedding.........hope it went well. If your weather was like ours on LI yesterday it was beautiful. Please share your wedding pictures with us. Like I said yesterday I missed a lot, where did Rhonda and Rob go? Jdeb I read that Eric's mom is sick, did you travel to check on her. I hope all is well. Patty good job on the fitting jeans, always a nice bonus. You do great with your fitness and I guess the fitness and eating do balance out. One alone is not going to get results we want, I just need to fit some small amount of fitness into my daily routine.
Well yesterday was busy but nice. Took Katie out east in the morning, she rode Daniel while Kim rode her horse, Ed. I watched Kim's girls for about 2 hours while those two rode the ring, went out on a trail ride, and then groomed and cleaned their horses. Got home around 1:30, then I grabbed a shower. Katie hooked up with my FIL, while I ran to Chico's and did a little credit card damage. I have to say, it felt pretty good. Met Katie back home around 5:00 and then my friend Deb joined us. The three of us walked to Meson Ole and enjoyed a nice dinner and a few Margaritas. (It was Katie's idea to walk since she knew Deb and I were going to have a few drinks, lol). We were home by 8:30 and we played Yatzee with Katie, lol. Exciting night, huh? Deb left around 9:30 and I headed upstairs into the AC with Katie. I was asleep by 10:30 and woke up on my own about an hour ago.
Looks like a nice day today but I believe our humidity is going to be up and a chance of rain latter this afternoon. I just hope the rain holds off until after Katie rides. She has a horse show out in Riverhead and we will head out that way about 11:30 but she probley won't ride until 3:00. Bill's parents and my dad are driving out to watch her, which makes her more nervous. My mom went out to CT to see my sister and according to my dad, the two of them are planning on catching a 12:30 ferry back to LI and head out to see Katie as well. Although Katie does not know this. After the show its probley some pool time and maybe a simple BBQ for dinner. Not sure what time Bill and Rob will be home. Rob went three rounds of competion yesterday, which is great. They headed home around 8:00 last night and the hotel was about a 4 hour ride away. So I have not spoken to them yet today and I do not know what time they will be getting back.
Well I hope everyone is well and that everyone has a wonderful day today. Actually Bill is on vacation this week so it should be a slightly slower pace around here although I am working Monday and Tuesday. I figured he could use Monday to catch up on his sleep and Tuesday he could spend some father/daughter time with Katie, lol. Have a good one ladies!

Good Morning,
It is a beautiful day here on LI. I headed out this morning on my bike for a perfect summer day for riding. I really enjoy my Sunday morning rides. Sunday morning was usually an up and early morning for starting in on chores that weren't accomplished on Saturday but have to say the morning bike ride is much more enjoyable!
Headed out in just a few minutes for my Sunday morning grocery shopping. London broil is on sale so I'll pick up that and cut it in half as it's just DH and myself for dinner. I do miss the other XX in the house. She's usually not around on the weekend but I always get a morning phone call and we compare notes on why boys are stupid!
I got my car washed yesterday and my first mistake was that I forget to get the ticket from the guy for the type of wash that I wanted. Then I get to the register and realize I don't have my wallet with me. Fortunately DH was home and the car wash is right near the house so he came with wallet in hand. I had visions of my car being held hostage for insufficient funds!
Well better go find my sneakers and take get started on the grocery shopping. A few other chores to catch up on around here including bill paying but hope to get some reading time in as well.
Terry-great job on the weight loss!
Cl-Deb-good luck to Katie today! Safe travels for Bill and Rob!
Donna-how's Sean doing?
Hope everyone has a splendid Sunday!

Hello all.. I SURVIVED!!!
Deb/MN
HI! Happy Saturday Afternoon! Looks like all who posted already have things on track. I am trying to enjoy the fresh air and breeze rushing through the house before DH puts on the AC because it is "too humid". With a wind like we are having, it is really quite pleasant. I get tired of breathing canned air.
The week went pretty well, no real weight loss here except for vacation weight, but the exercise was sure good. I did take the weekend off since I have to teach and sub 8 classes this week. I need to save my strength.
The concert last night was very nice, the weather held and 2 year old granddaughter made it through until the fireworks. Then she freaked out, as well as a number of other kids, so I rushed her out to the car carrying her since she did not want to be put down. Good thing I work out!
Patty...great job with the jeans. I know the food issues will fall into place and you will get a handle on it. Remember, change one thing at a time.
Deb...hope you enjoy the week of DH being home and you get to spend some alone and family time.
Deb/MN...glad all went well with the wedding. Looking forward to those pictures.
That is it for now...
Talk to you all soon...

Keep on keeping on!

Deb, reading your post made me smile; sounds like a nice day for you. It made me think of the "cheese incident" on DC. LOL I'd love to go out for dinner and margaritas with you, we;d have a blast!
Katie is a lucky girl to have a mom who does so much with her and to have a family

I got a london broil today too, do you do anything special with yours? I need to make the chicken ring again too. Should make it for BIL one night

Hi, Patty...I love teaching so it makes it a lot easier to do it. And believe it or not, I don't eat before I teach. There are a lot of days I don't eat until almost noon. I have always been that way and no matter how I try I can't seem to change it.
Truthfully, I have no energy to take classes and/or workout at home. I just can't get the motor running and it seems like a chore. If I don't teach, my next favorite thing to do is take classes but it depends on the gym and the instructor. Believe it or not, it is easier to teach than to take a class since the adrenelin or something takes over. There was no way I would have been able to take a class last Mon or Tues with the heat and no AC in the gym. The members are still asking me how the heck did I do it? I still don't know.
I do take vitamins...an over 50 daily, coq10, flaxseed oil. That's it and it is only since the heart attack. I try to eat as healthy as possible but I am human. Sugar/refined carbs are my enemy though. I do have days after a party that I feel like cr*p and like I have a hangover and I don't drink alcohol at all, so it is not a hangover. I really believe you are what you eat.
I really don't work outside the house either. I do take care of the business books and some other small things for the business but other than not much. I have even gotten laid back with the cleaning but it is only DH and I.
Also, going back to teaching and exercising was my therapy...physical and mental. I don't know what I would have done if I could not go back. It was my biggest fear and I still worry that I will have another "issue" and I won't be able to do it anymore. The more I do, the more I can do.
Thankyou for asking and thinking of me. I am really nothing special. I see others with worse health issues and they run marathons. I envy you that you work hard in CL and then go out and run and do weights. I wish I had your energy.
You keep doing what you are doing. Things have to come together and see, you are in your jeans again more comfortably.
Hugs

I marinate it in a little bit of olive oil, low sodium soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger and then just bbq. Nice and easy!
Great job on those jeans fitting more comfortably!
