OK, just my 2 cents worth, but I agree with Karen that we should be planning our next FOF Trip for anyone who'd like to participate. It takes quite a while to coordinate schedules and put aside money, so let's try to at least nail down when and where.

Please post:

1. Your top 3 choices for location.

2. Your top 3 choices for time of year in 2008.

I'm all for a mini trip if anyone can be in the DC/VA area in mid-October if it turns out I can make it up that way. ;-)

"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"... LOL!

That's a pretty easy place to fly in and out of for most of us, I'd think; good airfares, too, I assume.

(big baby who doesn't take long flights without hubby here)....those are all places he'd love to go too...I promise he won't tag along with us but I'd love you all to meet him, then he'd go do his "history" thing.

Places like Vail and Telluride are much cheaper in the summer.

Cost and travel time is always the concerns for me. Based on that to me I think a major city would be best for all concerned. Just to make travel and flying easier.

1. Chicago would be great in the spring or fall

2. Orlando/Fort Meyers/Fort Lauderdale anytime

3. California anytime

I also forgot to add Nashville, Tennesse too. I met several ivillage friends in Nashville about 6 years ago in Nashville and we had the best time.

Since I've been virtually nowhere. All the suggestions sound great. I would love Florida-St Augustine sounds particularly nice, Colorado, Chicago.

I will say cost is going to be a big factor. Another strike threat is already looming for us-this was a much shorter contract and the automotive business is a huge mess right now and well...my laundry fund-we'll just say they're on to me -DS in particular is being careful with money in his pockets!
