I'm actually sitting here procrastinating about paying bills and/or finishing up the laundry for the day. Neither one particularly excites me at the moment!

It's been a really rainy day here and the humidity is high. Yes, bad hair day here on LI! My hair is in desperate need of a cut and color as well so a bag over the head might just do the job. Cut and color is definitely on the "to do" list for next week providing I can get an appointment.

The workday as I've already commented on was interesting. I felt bad for my boss as his aunt passed away over the weekend, he's finishing up a trial and scheduled to start another one tomorrow and then having to deal with the Sunshine nonsense on top of that.

I've again had a day without a workout-not even a dog walk since the rain has been on and off again thing. But I have behaved myself quite well with my food although this talk of ice cream :)!. I've been bothered by that strange pain today and the medication didn't seem to do the trick today and I don't know whether the medication finally kicked in or the pain just decided to go away.

DD and her BF had a discussion and still not sure where they're headed but she certainly made her feelings known. The ball is now in his court and we'll see where he goes with it. I'm not sure how much time she's going to wait but he sure better make up his mind.

Other DD has everything in line finally to purchase a new vehicle. The 2008's will be coming out soon but if they can locate a 2007 that she likes she may opt for that since they've offered her a pretty good deal and it saves her some money on her payments and the excise tax that she has to pay.

Donna-hope the elevator is fixed for your Mom. What a terrible inconvenience for the elderly residents as well as those with young children. Your day with the kidlets sounded like fun! I'm sure your niece will take on that challenge with those reading assignments!

Deb/MN-your work week is certainly a difficult one. Hope there is some rest for the weary in there.

Cl-Deb-how was your car ride with Rob?

J-Deb-hope the OT works out for your MIL. How's kitty doing?

Well, unfortunately I had better stop procrastinating and at least get one thing accomplished this evening.

Hope everyone has had a magnificent Monday!

I am one tiered cookie.......yes I said cookie! Long day and tomorrow will more of the same I am afraid. Work was super busy and I left my desk covered thinking I would be back but I did not leave the college campus until 4:40. I just called the office and told them to just close up my stuff and I would be in early and that is what I intend to do........I am hoping to be there by 7:00. But this morning was crazy, between the rain and the work! Left for home at 1:00, left with Rob and although I thought we would not talk to much I will say we spoke lots. He apologized for his behavior and said he was wrong. He thanked me for coming with him this afternoon and we discussed the situation at hand at length. I thought I would mention to Nancy that it is so expensive for kids to be "on their own" over here in New York. To rent a studio apartment is close to $1,000 a month plus utilities. Although part of me would love to push them out I know its not right. But they do need to be more respectful in many aspects but I just think my Rob is going through his difficult time. Billy did it at 15 though 17, Rob now at 18. But when I say bad, he is not bad. The young man is home by curfew, except twice in 2 years. Does not drink or do drugs, usually is working either on a detail job of his own, working on errands for his father, 2 to 3 days a week at the body shop. He never goes to the beach to "hang out" or parties until whenever, just sometimes when he "acts up" its just not like him. Like he never is fresh so when he does speak up its unusual and out of character and of coarse I notice it right away. Everyone adult to other kids what a wonderful young man he is.............so on Rob's defense he is a good kid and will remain home with a watchful eye, lol. Onto his school schedule. I have to admit that I dropped the ball with this college thing hoping that Rob or Bill would take over. I had not submitted Robs papers for financial aid but according to our accountant we problem won't get anything. But I need to find out about Rob receiving a student loan. The school needs to have all his financial stuff in order by August 13. Actually we can pay for his first semester very easily if we have to. His college tuition is peanuts. But by the time we got home it was almost 5:30 and I knew everyone was going to want dinner, drats! I stopped and bought 2 roasting chickens and I threw them into the oven. Some Rice-a-Roni and some sauteed squash and it was dinner! I spent the last 2 hours online trying to complete his FESA forms and get them submitted. I compiled a list of questions for the college tomorrow and here I sit. I need to head upstairs now and close my eyes. No exercise as I had hoped and with heading out early tomorrow I doubt if it will happen then. I am planning on going to the WW meeting tomorrow night thought! Hope all is well with everyone else and I will head back here sometime mid morning tomorrow. Have a nice night everyone!
