I forgot one of the most important things I've learned and it took me until after I was over 50 to learn it:
Let go and let God! Don't try to control the outcome of everything in life. Just because a solution may be different doesn't necessarily mean it's not right.
Q If your week were like a goddess boot-camp, which of these poses best describes it?
Cobra: Helps you lead with your heart, not your head; turns vulnerabilities into strengths.
Q What is the most important exercise for you to incorporate into your routine/goals right now?
Other: Core
Q What are five things that make you say, Hallelujah!
1. Someone else seeing the dirty dishes in the sink and clean dishes in the dishwasher
2. A peaceful "Sunshine" day
3. Things remaining in the trash that I've thrown away 4. Green lights and low-to-no traffic-that's me especially on those mornings where I'm not quite on time! 5. Mail picked up and sorted out by the proper receipients!
Q When you read the label on the back of things like, pasta sauce, cottage cheese, etc which of these do you focus on the most?
* Total fat * Calories * Sodium * Cholesterol * Protein * Total carbohydrate * Sugars * Nutrients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium %, Iron %, etc.
All of the above-I'm a bit of a label reader!
Ellen Barkin (from “Ocean’s Thirteen”) stated in a recent interview she has 10 rules for life after 50 (she is 53) that include: no red lipstick – it’s aging, if you have a toned body wear a bikini for as long as you like, no blue jeans for dinner out – except for black-jeans and don’t wear your hair longer than to your collarbone.
Q What are your 5 (or more) personal Rules for Life After 40+
1. Life is too short-take the time to enjoy it.
2. Be comfortable with who you are
3. Keep your mind and body active
4. Take time for yourself
5. It's the simple things in life that bring joy-allow yourself to enjoy them!
Thanks for the questions Deb. And anyone who would like to join me wherever that table is set let me know when and where!
I love the look of short hair but it doesn't love me! When I met the women on the board here who have short hair I wished I could look like that.My hair is really easier in some ways longer. I pull it back and it stays that way when
I keep seeing really cute haircuts on women my age...shorter, athletic and I think ohhhhhh....but then I like to have some up, some down sometimes, and when I workout I'm soaking wet (hair)...ick
