Nancy, happy to see you had a good trip and made it back safely.
I had a productive day. Got my oil changed and tires rotated, had the dogs groomed and their teeth cleaned, had Rob run me to Home Depot to get a large pot of banana trees (5 stalks in one pot), 2 Malaysian orchid plants (shrubs),
Welcome back Nancy! Glad you had a good trip and that you're back home safely.
Rhonda-congratulations on your selection. Hope all goes well with birthday plans for your Dad so that you'll be able to be there. Glad to hear that you're Dad is doing well!
Patty-sorry to hear the news about your flock. I'm sure that it must be a big disappointment to you. I absolutely love Bob! He is just so sweet!
It was a hot day here. I puttered around the house this morning while DH ran some errands and worked on his truck. I got my hair cut and colored and I absolutely love it. The color looks slightly different to me this time and almost looks like there are some copper colored highlights in it. I had her cut it quite short for the hot weather. By the time I got home DD was on her way home from work and we headed to the jewelry store. DD found a beautiful cross for Emma and she couldn't help but look at the engagement rings. He had a lot of beautiful settings but she found one that was already set with a stone and two smaller stones on the side. It was a setting that one that he had originally designed for his wife and have to say it was beautiful. He really does beautiful work. So if the BF finally decides...the future MIL will know where to send him!
We did hear news about Luke. Unfortunately the mass is malignant. They met with the oncologist today and after he reviews the CAT scan he will determine what the course of treatment will be. I know your continued prayers and good thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
I used the first eggplant from the garden in a pasta dish this evening. We still have zucchini and cucumbers coming in but we have so many tomatoes but they just don't seem to want to ripen. If they ever do decide to turn red I don't know what I'm going to do with them. I'm thinking a stand in front of the house that says help yourself!
In spite of the warm weather Otto decided on another long walk and he met up with the Cookie Lady much to his delight-and she had a whole bag of treats! Otto conned me out of an extra breakfast this morning. I never heard him get up this morning for DH to feed him and DH wasn't here when I got up and there's Otto standing there looking at his bowl so I actually fell for the poor me I'm looking for breakfast face! He's good!
I sat outside for awhile this evening reading and then attempted some weeding but the bugs were getting me and the amount of weeds out there were more than overwhelming so I decided to head inside and turn on the ac.
Time for me to head to bed. Can't say what I did today to make me tired but that's what my body is telling me. Hope everyone has a good night's rest!
It was 100 at noon when I went by Walgreen's, but when I started working in the yard about 4:00, it had gotten overcast, so it was probably low 90's. Cold slows me down.
I'm so sorry to hear Luke's mass is malignant. I had prayed it would be benign. Let's hope they can remove it all with no problem and that it won't recur.
Your hair sounds sharp. I love coppery highlights.
I got the Yorkies some things called Greenies yesterday. The groomer said they're good for keeping their teeth clean and their breath fresh. They are strutting their stuff since their "spa day" yesterday. :-)
