Hi everybody. Well, the heat wave finally broke in Boston. I had some time to myself and did a long yoga routine, with good breathing and centering. Ah. This afternoon my SO and I took a long bike ride - long for us - about 14 miles. Lots of house cleaning afterwards. Took three big bags of old clothes to the donation center. Threw out all of the papers from my son's seventh grade experience. Well, almost all the papers!
Made huevo rancheros for breakfast/brunch and banana nut muffins. Sounds like a strange combo but that is what happens when the bananas get ripe!
It's after 10PM here and I'm wide awake. Very unusual for me this time of night and wondering how I'm going to do getting up about 2 hours earlier than I have been for the past week!
I got my grocery shopping done and fortunately I bought bbq sauce for my ribs since when I looked at the label on the one I had at home and it was Best Used by 4/2004! Think I must have shoved that one to the rear a few times too many! The ribs were really good. I made stovetop beans to go along with it and a pasta salad. DD's BF brought cookies-so it was a few too many ribs and a few too many ribs this evening.
My nails are all nice and pretty looking again and I did come home with a new pair of sneakers. I hope these work out since after about a month I usually start complaining about discomfort. I was talking to a woman who has the same problem I do and she made a suggestion about what she finds to be the most comfortable. The rest of the afternoon or what was left of it after a Target run and what seemed like forever in Sports Authority and a side trip to Best Buy spent puttering around in the kitchen.
After DD and her BF left Otto and I ventured out for a walk. Lots of people still out and about on a nice Sunday evening.
I guess I'll empty the laundry chute and get myself ready for the morning wake up call!
I can go next! Well it is past my bedtime and I do have the alarm clock set for 6:00. I am hoping for no rain in the morning and a walk although I missed Aunt Linda's call and it was after 10 before I saw her message. She said if she did not hear from me she would assume we were not walking so it looks like it will be a solo walk. Katie and I ran out to see/ride Daniel this morning although we did not get away until close to noon. She rode for about 35 minutes and I video taped her. They did well together today. The mom of the woman who owns Daniel was at the barn today and had not seen Katie ride since October when she first stared, she was amazed on how well Katie looked on him. From there we headed home for a very quick shower and out the door we went. Bill and the boys headed over to our friend John and Deb's house earlier for Johnny's birthday. Katie and I were 2 hours late.........oh well. It is usually the other way around. Had a nice dinner, and lots of laughs. Katie was a water rat and was swimming in their beautiful built in pool 99% of the time. We got home around 9:45, Bill headed upstairs, Katie followed and I washed the kitchen floor. I know.......don't ask. Rob just got in and well Billy is still out. I am heading into the office tomorrow around 10:00 since I have some College things to take care of for Rob and I do not have a minute at work. Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a good start to their week.

Patty, I'm sure your friend will treasure that gift of Mel's bracelet that you give her.
