Good Morning,

After such a beautiful day yesterday not such a nice day today. The humidity has returned and looks like as of tomorrow we will be adding some sizzle to the forecast.

Back to the paying job this morning. I woke up to the alarm this morning and although it took me a few minutes to wake up I did get to the basement for a workout. Early morning workouts before work have been a real struggle before the week off and it felt good to get up and get that accomplished this morning. I always feel better afterwards. I hope to combine some healthy eating with that to get the week off to a good start.

Lots of little things accomplished this morning. We finally have some tomatoes in the garden so I picked a couple this morning and made a fresh mozzerella, basil and tomato salad to go with some chicken kabobs on the bbq and I think there's another zucchini out there so I'll put that on the grill as well. I may be bbqing under an umbrella according to the forecast.

I have some bills to pay this evening and some filing to do and if the weather holds a walk with my walking companion Sir Otto.

Well time to get some laundry put away, pack up the healthy snacks for the work day ahead and perhaps get to work a few minutes ahead of time to see what looms ahead of me. Looking forward to see if "Sunshine" behaved herself last week!

Hope everyone has a magnificent Monday and a great start to the week ahead!

Just a quick post then its the showers for me. I got up later then usual since I knew I needed to take care of college stuff for Rob. Ran the vacuum downstairs since the dog hair is just falling off Bingo. Between the heat, humidity and his age...........gross! I spent 30 minutes on hold with the college before someone came on and helped me. Not easy and although they want you to do everything online its not as simple as they suggest. Not until you get some help. Looks like Rob will get some help from NYS with financial aide but none from the Federal gov so Bill and I will be footing the bill. Actually we plan on putting what we can on a student loan for now. But I still need to write a check for half the tuition and get it to them before next Monday or his classes will be dropped. Got the correct amount and down loaded the form off the computer. Now to write the check and mail it out. I guess I can put it certified this afternoon. My office called looking for me and I did explain on Friday that I would be late because I HAVE to take care of this today. But still they called. I begged Rob to get into the shower an hour ago and he only went in 10 minutes ago and I still need one......argh! I hope you all have a wonderful day and I better get moving before I have no job to go to.

Hello, all! Been missing temporarily again...had some busy days. Step mom is back safely in Florida and I have been trying to get my life back in order. So strange how quickly things get out of hand when I am off schedule.

I stopped taking the Crestor with Doc's ok and I think I am starting to feel better. I have some more energy and the aches/tingling in hands and feet seem to be easing up some. I am sleeping a little better since the pain in my legs aren't keeping me awake as long after I wake up to go to the bathroom and/or the bizarre dreams. PATTY...your weird dreams sound like a symptom of perimenopause...I have been getting them for years and years...just got worse with the meds. Just what I needed. I am hoping to get a handle on my weight too. I really think the Crestor was causing me to gain weight...one of the side effects of statins is possible weight gain. I am going to see if that was my part of my problem. I know my cholesterol level is going to go up but cholesterol never killed anyone. It is the other risk factors that do so I am hoping I can stay off them. I will not take another statin...tried 3 and all had bad side effects. I also have cancer in the family and I refuse to take a known carcinogen.

Anyway...I am feeling optimistic and I taking charge of the week ahead with or without misty mornings. Got a great start...subbed an hour Pilates class this morning and then taught my regular step interval class. So I did cardio, weights and Pilates today already.

Have a good day and great week all. Good luck back at work, Susan.

I like your Pollyanna world Nancy. I think we both are there today...I feel "up" even with the yucky weather out. Amazing what a little extra energy can do. Great job with the exercise...it is a big step in the right diretion. Good luck with the moderate eating, I'm with you, and have fun tonight.

Oh yum...tomatoes from the garden. I miss it...DH had no luck with them again this year. WE had a blight in the soil and he tried pots but used the wrong soil and well...you get the picture. And to think, he grew up on a farm...LOL!

Have a nice week...
