Thanks, Patty! Rob just ran up to McDonald's for a late night snack and darned if that thing wasn't on top one of the lids. I got bold and grabbed the edge of the lid, tilted it, and made him slide back into the cage. I put a trash can on top of it but it wasn't very heavy. I heard noise again, and he was about to get out. I shook the top really hard till he fell back in, then put a heavier box on top. Rob will probably wonder why he's agitated when he gets back, but I'll tell him.

We had a great time at Mom and Dad's today! Dad looked so good, was very lucid, and was stronger with his getting out of the chair and walking to the restroom (with someone following just in case) with his walker. His cognitive score went up 6 points in one week to a 20 out of 30, which is really amazing. What was great too is that Mom and Cheryl talked to each other as though nothing had happened. I know it was mostly for Dad's benefit, but it seemed to come more easily as the day went on. It was really nice.

Afterwards, Rob and I went to pick up his truck. The new battery had some dead cells in it so that has to go back. They wouldn't cover the original one, because he's had so much after market work done on it like the train horn. Turns out it was the fuel pump instead of the starter cylanoid. The part was covered under the warranty, but we still had the cost of the battery and labor. He's just relieved to have his beloved truck back.

Everyone (meaning the MD crew and Alexa) came to our house to swim. The kids and even the grown-ups got a kick out of the slide and some of the pool toys. It did my heart good to watch Lauren and her DH have quite a battle with the water cannons. LOL! She also had to prove to her step-son that she is not too old to go down the slide. :-)

Tim called from the Atlanta airport and then when he arrived in Dallas. Got another call when he and 5 people he was meeting with were just settling down to dinner at 9:15 our time. Got an email about 11:30. He was turning in. I took a sleeping pill, but it hasn't hit yet. Wonder if they're strong enough. Patty, you and I have some of the same complaints. ;-)

J-Deb, exciting Zumba news --Tanya Beardsley and Jani Roberts will be back Sept. 1st by popular demand to teach a master class and a certification day. I've registered and will be there with bells on!

Zumba Instructor Training in
Jacksonville, FL
September 1, 2007

1-Day Workshop with
Jani Roberts & Tanya Beardsley

Tomorrow night I'm picking up my sister that's down from MD to go observe Christine's class, so she can see a good class in action. That way if she decides to take up there, she'll have a benchmark to go by.

I'm so excited!

Maybe I'll take what I had for dinner tonight -- a float made of diet Pepsi and light chocolate chip ice cream! Somehow I think that might be frowned upon (and drooled on)!!
