Good morning everyone. Got on the computer today to find DH had changed the operating system. He wanted to make it faster. This from the man who takes a week to make a decision and a month to fix anything! I'm checking Amazon later to see if there are any operating systems for men!!!

I'm still trying to find the words to tell Margie how wonderful she looks. It's not

Good morning ladies.................only have a few minutes so I will make this quick. Congrats to Margie again!!! Bravo! Weather here in NY is sunny and lower humidity which is nice. Grabbed a walk yesterday morning and again today. Have another planned for tomorrow...........maybe, just maybe.........anyhow I did weigh in last night and I was up 1/2 a pound but considering I just came off a 4 day vacation with no restrictions that is not bad. Work is a full day today followed by a visit to my MIL. She is going in for a cath and to have stents put in. Just say a prayer for her that the stents work and she does not require bypass. She is very nervous, as to be expected. Katie is heading out east with my dad this morning and then afternoon plans for a movie with the neighbor. So she will be busy plus her daily chores. Better run, I need to blow dry my hair and get dressed yet.........off to the working world. Have a good one everyone!

Good Morning

A beautiful Wednesday wake up this morning. It's going to be warm but the humidity for the moment staying low. Unfortunately again for me that wake up call was very late for me. I overslept yet again. I just find myself exhausted morning noon and night. Also did something to my lower back on the right side and if I move or step the wrong way or if I sit for too long there are stars that suddenly appear before my eyes. I have no idea what I did or how I did it or what it's from. May make life interesting at work.

Scary event in our little village yesterday. The gas station just 2 blocks from our house went up in flames yesterday. The cause is still under investigation. Fortunately the owner had enough time to hit the emergency shut off for the pumps to prevent any explosion. Apparently you could see the black smoke for miles away. Several houses that are in back of the station had to be evacuated. There is a public parking lot in back of the station and people had parked their cars there to pick up the bus to Atlantic City for the day. Can't quite imagine coming back to find out that your car has been destroyed. There were several cars in the bays as well that were destroyed. Fortunately no one was injured. By last night the station had been leveled since it was structurally unsafe. We've not only dealt with them for gas for our cars but DH has had business dealings with them with orders. Nice guys very community oriented and one of the owners has a wife with a baby due any day now. Of course, now a lot of guys out of a job and of course all their tools, which belong to the mechanics have been destroyed. Just a really sad situation for everyone involved.

Just to let you know the talking with Miss Sunshine hasn't seemed to quite sink into her brain. She apparently told her boss that he had better start advertising for real estate deals since the real estate end of the office is very slow and that she has absolutely no intention of helping out with any of the litigation or filing in the office because she doesn't do that. Nothing like making the rest of us feel like we are all beneath her. And what was her boss' reaction-he laughs! After all the talk about being slow one of the associates gave her some simple things to do and of course she made a big deal about all the "work" that she was given. She of course is still smart enough to do this when my boss isn't around and for whatever reason the other end of the office continues to tolerate this stupidity. I already know that if I ever did what she did I would be looking for another job and if I had been told what's she's been told I would be zipping my lip and doing whatever was handed to me. I know she's saying some of these things to provoke my coworker who has a bit of a short fuse. She's been dealing with it pretty well but I know she's close to losing it. I told her yesterday that she needs to bite her tongue even if it bleeds because that is exactly what she's looking for. Any type of confrontation so she can run and say it's not her. I just hope that the promise of January is a real one.

I put a pork roast in the crockpot for this evening. DH will be coming in and going out again which makes the evening meal hassle free. Otto and I will wander out after dinner for our nightly walk after that.

That's about if from my neck of the woods. Obviously not doing well with any type of exercise but trying to stay focused on eating healthy and drinking water.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Susan several years ago we had our repair shop catch on fire. We had just gotten a gas delivery and as the truck driver was pulling out a car came down main street, late for work and ran into the side of him. Since his truck still had some gas in it, it caught on fire and exploded. The driver of the mini van died, unfortunatly but the driver of the tanker truck was unharmed. Our gas pumper was so scared he ran into the bathroom to hide, not thinking get far away from the building. Thank goodness he was safe too. We lost 5 customer cars, we lost tool boxes full of tools, equiptment.........broken windows, bent doors. Thank God we had good insurance and we were able to get back to a slow paced business within two weeks. Our structure was still good on the building. But such a scarey thing to watch our lives going up in flames. Would never want to go through that again.

Thanks for the emails and good thoughts. Tim and I are going through a very rough time right now (in spite of the front we put up in Fernandina), and it is all consuming for me at this point. Rob and I went to Orlando for a few days with my sister, Cheryl, to see her gang staying in her time share down there. We also got to see Erin, Joe, and Jackson. It was her first time to get to see Jackson. I couldn't get over how his hair had thickened up so beautifully recently and the "dorsal fin" (faux hawk)
