Good morning everyone.More storms were thru off and on all night. This getting old!Karen, I love the pictures! And I love hearing about back to school, I'm missing that this year.
One of the best ways to insure reaching a goal is to visualize yourself there. Want to lose 10 pounds, picture yourself with those pounds off.Want to be more confident, picture yourself being just that. We get locked into the image of who and what we are and forget we have the power

Well ... the one in my post I did not make ... it is just a photo I came across online.

Beautiful, sun shining day here ... the temps are cooling down a little (low 80s today).

See ya there Tuesday to all....How's it going so far? I bit the bullet and rejoined WW. Actually I am a lifetime member and asked to start again and change my goal weight. I have to be realistic and realize that I will never see my "pre" postmenapausal weight. So, I upped my goal weight and I could have been free if I used WW goal weight, but I picked one a little lower so I would get more motivation to actually stick to it this time. I still have to point out the Nutri System food to go along with it. I will not waste that food...it was too expensive. Both plans want you to eat a lot of fruit and veggies so they should compliment each other.
I also decided to be self caring....a more positive way of saying that I am going to think and take care of myself instead of selfish. Learned that at the WW meeting today. So Grace is now self caring and the one thing I am going to do for me is to give up my Wednesday morning step class so I am free to take and Inten-sati class. It is a cardio/yoga type moves class with positive affirmations being said. You come out of the class feeling wonderful physically and mentally. I believe it is just what I need for me, my health and to change things up. Shake it up!! I am actually going to do something for me!
Boy...I sure do feel better than yesterday by taking those two positive steps...rejoining WW and deciding to take that class.
I have been hearing you, PATTY, in your posts. Yes our feelings have been paralleling lately. But, you have been braver than me...I won't even try on my jeans. I am afraid to even find out what doesn't fit. But, we can get our acts together and finally make a difference. OK?? No more meltdowns...they are destructive!
Susan...it really stinks that a lot of what we are going through is "normal". Why do we have to be so normal? And, why don't men go through something similar? Just not fair.
Karen...glad the first day of school was such a success.
Sorry...can't answer any more posts right now...I have to watch granddaughter so DD can go to the ob/gyn. She is so low...wonder if she will go soon. Other DD has ob/gyn today too. Her clothes are falling off her from being so sick, so I don't think the ob is going to be too happy with her. They are going to listen to the heartbeat and she has to decide if she wants to do the genetic counseling and the special sonogram. She is leaning towards not doing it.
Ok...see you all later....

Keep on keeping on!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Love that thought! So true!
