It is time to post and go sit out on the deck to see if I can stay awake another two hours.

Thanks, Nancy. I have been reading posts and catching up -- thinking about you and your DD, Grace.

Today was day 2 of my new job. OK so far. I splurged on a parking pass to the building. I took the dog for a walk this morning. We went to Maine for four days last week -- our last hurrah before I started work. We played golf - yes for my first real time. It was fun. I need FUN for fitness, ladies!

My SO is cooking dinner for me, and he sent me roses to my new office today. Marianne

Very rainy day here and the temperature was only about 58-very fall like.

I spent the day in the basement cleaning up. I found 3 boxes of cards that I had to go through. Engagement cards, wedding cards, 1st baby cards and then a whole lot of cards that the kids had made. It was a difficult task but I weeded everything down to one small plastic bin that I'll need to make a final decision about. I also shredded papers, shredded papers and shredded more paper. I came across all the paperwork for financial aid for the girls. Since a lot of the loans are still being paid off I pulled out what I thought needed to be saved but had to shred the rest since there was all kinds of personal information on the documents. It's a huge job down here since the more I did the more I found to do but just trying to concentrate on how much was accomplished and how much better it looks down here. DH is ripping the other side the basement apart. We had a small 1/2 bath on the other side of the basement that hasn't been used in years so DH is ripping that out along with the wall to expand the laundry room a bit. We hope to build some type of closet that will house our Christmas decorations and a few other things that need a home. I haven't looked over there and just hope that the laundry room is functionable at this point. That was pretty much on how we spent Vacation Day #2.

I'm pretty much exhausted this evening and have been nodding on and off all evening so I'm going to call this an early evening and head to bed.

Hope it's been a good one for you all. Sleep well!

Susan
