Good morning everyone. Still using the laptop and still can barely see anything. I have 2 computer screens in CL I use. One show up so clear but the other you can barely read. I was trying to do something on it the other day and reached for DH's glasses. Then sheer "Dear Heavens I've gone blind " panic set in. Still couldn't see anything. Turns out one lense was covered in dust and one was out completely.Only a man would save them.
Your current safe boundries were once unknown frontiers.
Saw that and thought of ZumbaDeb right away. Amazing how we grow and change and try new things. Making changes and finding out all that we are capable of is one of the great joys in life.
So what's up for today? I never got to the mowing yesterday. It was just too hot here yesterday. We had more storms come thru last night with a lot of rain so I shudder to think what the yard looks like. That may be my workout today.
Cl-Deb, thinking of you guys. BNL, hope you're headache free.Terry, hope you're feeling better.
Enjoy your day!

Good morning everyone..........confusing morning here as usual. Bill and I drove into see MIL yesterday around 9:30 and we got home around 7:00. Long day but she is in a regular room now. She had a good day yesterday, she is off more of the meds and the real mom is coming back. I baked her a sour cream pound cake and she was so happy to have that yesterday with a cup of coffee. They finally took the foley cath out and we walked her to the bathroom. That made her feel so much better, then the nurse and I took her hands and walked her down the hall to the nurses station and back. Bill and I headed home around 5:45 and dad stayed until 8:30. I have not spoken with her yet but dad did and he said she did not have a best night again, not sure why. The game plan for the next few days is up in the air but I think I figured out what we are doing. Cousin, Deb who works at the hospital is out here on Long Island the next few days with her boyfriend and offered her apartment to any of us. So since "everyone" has to work tomorrow and we are so afraid of mom being alone all day and slipping backwards in her progress I am going to take the day off. My game plan is to drive into the hospital with Katie and my FIL this afternoon around 12:00. Katie and I are going to pack our overnight bag and stay in Deb's apartment. Tomorrow morning we will walk over to the hospital and spend the day with mom. Actually I just picked up the phone and spoke to her, she said she is winded but that is because of the fluids in her. She had her breakfast, walked to the bathroom and washed up and is now back in bed. She said she was going to close her eyes now and take a nap. I am really worried about her, she just did not bounce back as easily as we had hoped from this. I guess I am angry at my SIL since she is so far away and it just shows another example of how "we" Bill and I do so much. I know its probley best that SIL is not arround because she does upset my MIL with her antics.......its just the point. I will say though that neither Bill or I have spoken to her since the holidays and I do not know what she has been told or has offered to do. So on her defense I should keep my mouth shut. Well better get my act together and finish up around here. I will catch up later tomorrow, thanks all for you well wishes, hugs and concerns.

I've decided next I'm going to get my huge rear up that rock climbing wall at the Y.
Glad your family made it through that storm safely.
The kids closest seem to get stuck with the brunt of it Deb (we're the faraway ones).
Good Morning,
I think it's still morning anyway. Is there a time where 5 members of the same family can be on an even keel or is it some unwritten law that everyone has to take turns? DD is back on an emotional roller coaster with the "stupid" boy. I like him but I think sometimes he has rocks in his head. So that whole conversation this morning has been enough to give me a headache. It's sticky and humid here and a bit of a headache but I know this one is weather related and I had to turn the ac on in the house. I actually did some research last night and there is a thing called exertion headaches. Really no explanation or way of dealing with them. If this is what is going to happen when I exercise I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
I've been to the grocery store and restocked on everything and going to head to the nail place for a mani/pedi. DH has his last safety class today. I have all kinds of things in my head of what needs to be done before heading back to work tomorrow morning. Bills, ironing etc. But after a really busy day yesterday a day of doing nothing sounds thrilling.
I made DH and I blueberry pancakes this morning that were so good and I found a recipe for a cobble in Cooking Light although I forgot the blueberries at the grocery store but I do have an alternate plan. I love to cook on Sunday although I really should stay away from the dessert section!
Well need to go find my flip flops and flop my way out of here! Hope everyone has a super Sunday!

Hello, Deb..I read your last two posts and all I can say is "oh my". I do hope things calm down soon and your MinL starts doing better every day. The hospitals may be better in the city, but the trip back and forth is such a hardship. Good luck with the remainder of this family episode.
Hope you get a chance to catch your breath and have some time for a little leisurely back to school shopping. Don't forge to take care of you especially since AF was so nasty.
Hugs to you and all...
Grace
Keep on keeping on!
