Well it is Sunday night and I am surprised how quiet this board is? I am at cousin Deb's apartment in NYC and Katie and I have put our PJ's on, brushed our teeth and we are watching Home Alone 3 but we are going under the blankets in a few minutes. Figured I would just take advantage of Deb's computer before turning in. Mom had another good day. Her sister, Linda arrived at the hospital around 10:00. She helped mom get washed up and did her hair with that dry shampoo. Fresh hospital robe and a little powder. Katie and I came with dad, he picked us up around noon and we got here about 1:15. About 2 Aunt Linda walked Katie and I across the street to drop our overnight bag at Deb's place and get a sandwich for lunch. My older son arrived around 3:30, then Aunt Linda left shortly after that. Dad headed out not long after........he was craving some chineese food and a martini.....it's been a long week for him and he is going to work tomorrow. Katie and I stayed with mom until a little after 8 then headed up here. We are hoping that mom can come home on Tuesday. She did well today by getting out of bed to use the ladies room, she needs help just to get herself pulled up then once she stands she is walking great. Less pain meds which is great. If all goes well they will let her go home on Tuesday. My FIL and my husband Bill will go in and get her. My FIL is going to take off on Wednesday too and then I will take off on Thursday to stay with her. I think we have another long week ahead but the sooner she gets home the better it will be. I told her I could help her put together a grocery order with Peapod or get her stuff myself. Katie will help and stay with mom too and help with the house work. Just shows how important family being around is. Well my eyes are sore and my body is saying lay down. Not setting a clock but Deb's apartment shades are open so the morning light will wake me automatically. Her apartment over looks the East River and the view is beautiful. Have a great night ladies and I will try to check in tomorrow.
