Good Morning,

A bright blue sky and much lower humidity this morning as I head back to work. The vacation week flew by and trying to keep an open mind as I head back to the office. My little ray of sunshine is on vacation this week so it will be 2 full weeks without having those rays of light!

I started off the week well with being able to get up and down to the basement for a workout. Feeling a bit of the dull ache in my head but if it stays the way it is I'll be able to deal with it. Also had a good breakfast of oatmeal with a little peanut butter swirled in, some cinnamon on top and banana slices.

I haven't heard from DD since yesterday AM so I'm not sure what has transpired with them. As of yesterday morning she indicated that she might be home but I'll wait to hear from her. I know they had originally planned to go to Montauk but that was before...

Other DD got the final word on the details of her promotion so she'll be starting a total new phase of work. I think they eventually want to expand their digital imaging center and with her degree in photography it looks like her job may further expand. She's excited over the prospects.

My BIL has been in the hospital since last week after having emergency surgery. The surgery went fine but things afterwards are not going well at all. He's been in CCU since the surgery. He didn't come out of the anesthia like he should have and they have him heavily sedated. Yesterday my sister got to the hospital to find that they had put him on dialysis. She was never called nor consulted and they certainly haven't been very good about telling her what exactly is going on. They don't have health care proxies or anything else that should be in place in this type of situation so I'm going to try to find out what I can in the office about exactly what happens in this type of situation as far as his medical care goes. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

It will be my usual 9 to 5 and I have some chicken cutlets marinating which I'm going to put on the grill and make some fresh tomatoes with garlic, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, slice up the chicken and put it all over some whole grain penne pasta and probably some zucchini. Our zucchini from the garden is about gone so I'm trying to enjoy the last of it.

Nancy-sounds like a fun weekend. If you figure out a way to work less hours at the same pay please share!

CL-Deb-hope things continue to improve with your MIL so that she can get home. There's no place like home trying to recover from surgery!

Terry-hope you're feeling better. Sounds like a nasty bug.

Deb/MN-love your patio! Let me know when you'd like me there for a glass of wine and sitting by the fire!

Margie-hope the start to the new school year is a good one for you.

Marianne-good luck with the job situation. Hope all goes well with the job.

Donna-another crazy week at the zoo?

Lori & Rhonda-thinking about you guys!

To all of you I wish you a great day and thinking of you all!

Better get myself motivated to head out the door this morning! Hope everyone has a great day.

Thoughts and prayers for you BinL, Susan. How awful that the surgery was a success but the patient isn't doing well! He is on dialysis and no one told her? She better let that hosptital and doctor know that she wants to be told everything and she should be consulted. Oh I am angry..can you tell? Well...I will pray for everything to be alright.

Sounds like a lot of stuff going on in your family. Good luck at work this week. Hope the headache dissolves and great job on getting your workout in.

Karen...big ((hugs)) but family can be very trying sometimes. I guess that was putting it mildly. Anyway, try to think of the positive in your weekend! Hey, you did a lot too..mowed, weeded and ironed! Wow...sounds like a lot to me! Hope you get some help around the house...

Hugs
