Good morning ladies.

Good Morning,
Another beautiful morning out there. Where was this weather last week? But if we had had this weather we probably wouldn't have accomplished what needed to be accomplished.
How true about living life to the fullest. Life is indeed a precious gift.
Things are not looking good for my BIL. They have him on the dialysis to try to rid his body of the fluid that is accumulating throughout his body. The doctors don't hold much hope of him making much of a recovery. They will continue with the treatment over the next week and then meet again. He has daughters from a prior marriage and although they've never had much of a relationship they seem to have an awful lot to say about this care and treatment which leaves my sister in a bit of a predicament particularly since there aren't any legal papers in effect. Wishes are expressed orally but doesn't help much in the present situation.
I've accomplished a workout for the day and I also had my oatmeal this morning. I'm looking for another great eating day. I feel so much better when I stay away from anything sugary and I have to remember that when that urge is beginning to overwhelm me. Tuesday is the traditional pasta and meatballs. I have left over zucchini from last night so I'll heat some of that for myself along with a salad.
I have some laundry whirling and twirling and I've been unsuccessfully trying to keep Otto still long enough to put the saline solution on the infection around his mouth. The antibiotic has done wonders but trying to clean out the area is definitely not a one person job. I meant to ask DS to get him into the choke hold to keep him still before he left for work but I forgot figuring I could wrestle him but didn't quite work!
Shar-so nice to see a post from you! You've been missed!
Nancy-hope your DD is able to do something about her job situation. I know how terrible I felt when DD was struggling with her last job. Good thoughts and prayers that she's able to find something she truly can enjoy.
Marianne-reading about your toe sent the shivers up my spine. Hope it heals quickly.
Donna-glad to hear that you can get an extra day for the upcoming weekend. That will be nice after the long hours you've been logging in.
Karen-((((((hugs))))))))) to you. I know the feeling of feeling overworked and underappreciated by family members.
Erin-glad to hear that you got that mammo done!
Well guess it's about time to pack up my stuff for the day and head off to the world of the legal eagles. Sure hope the day runs a bit smoother than yesterday.
Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!
Susan

Princess, thank you for today’s message.
Karen
Good afternoon, all! So sorry to hear about your Aunt's grandson. How awful that someone else has lost his life trying to protect us here in the USA. My heart goes out to her with losing two family members this way. Prayers for all are being sent.
Weighed in at WW this morning and lost (only) one lb. I guess it is something but I expected better with being so good all week and not using all my extra points. Oh well..back to the drawing board today. I do have to teach 2 classes tonight so I will have a good start again this week.
I missed the thread about clothes and what we usually wear but thinking about trying to get back into jeans with the cooler weather sure did get me back to WW. With the hot weather I can't bear to try to get into anything snug fitting. I have been wearing draw string/elastic waist pants all summer. I am in for a rude awakening when I have to get back into the fall/winter wardrobe. I caved and bought two pair of pants from QVC last night "just in case". Hey, they were petites!
Nancy...I will be thinking good thoughts for DD. Good job on the good day of eating.
Susan...hope things are working out for DD. Again, so sorry about BinL. Glad Otto is improving. I just can't imagine you wrestling him to clean out his infection.
Karen...hope you have a nice day and glad the family is being nicer.
Hugs to all and hope you are all having a nice day.

Keep on keeping on!

Good morning everyone.
Patty, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt's grandson and he was so young. Very sad.
Nancy, I hope your daughter finds something that she enjoys. It's so tough to watch our children go through these things. My son was in a job that he hated to the point that he was getting ulcers. He quit and took a couple of months off. He is now working again, in the same field, but for a different company and really enjoying it.
Marianne, OUCH on the toe. Hope it heals up fast for you. I would have done the same thing. . . . saved the wine!!!! LOL
It's a bit of a dull overcast day here again, but those in the know say that the clouds are supposed to burn off later on.
Although my intentions were good, I failed to get any exercise in yesterday. Eating on the other hand was very good and I didn't snack on any junk! I was reading the "Daily Motivator" yesterday and was reminded about taking baby steps. You can't just jump to the top of a mountain, but if you consistently walk toward it you will achieve your goal. With this in mind, my step for this week is to eliminate junk from my diet and increase my water intake. Okay that's two steps, but I'm in a hurry!
I'm not sure what's on the agenda for today. I need to put a load of laundry in the dryer and do some dishes. After that, I think I will start another painting. There is an upcoming juried show on Sept. 9 and I have committed to having two pieces to enter for adjudication. I'm almost finished one painting and will start the second. If I can get them completed then I can relax and enjoy these last few lazy days of summer before the kids go back to school. I'm also wanting to get in and do some serious organizing and purging (of junk, not food!) LOL My linen closet is in dire need, as are the kitchen cabinets. I'm thinking there are a few spots around the house that could use a new coat of paint and then there's the garden that could use some TLC. It just never ends, does it? Of course, if I got my behind off the this computer chair, I'd get a lot more accomplished! :0)
And on that note, I will wish you all a happy and productive day.
