It is only a bit after 9pm here but I'm really tired so I'm going to post about my day and crawl into bed. I'll see how long I can read before falling soundly to sleep!
It is 11:20pm here in Florida and just watching Tv and surfing. My day was a bit slow but here goes. I did not get to bed till about 2:30am as DH came home will on his night shift and I was talking to him, wow that was a wrong move. I can't stay up as late at night as I used to when I was 21!!!!! I missed my gym this morning as I had to go to the local Middle School to talk to a woman I know about trying to get a full time job with the school board. Came home and to my horror I found out that I had my t-shirt on inside out!! Got ready for work. I work at the local elementary school as part of the child care YMCA proramme cursing once again that I have a degree in Librarianship and was one for 25 years in Scotland and I can't do anything with it at the moment thanks to immigration screw up. I was with 50 children on a bus to the local YMCA pool at 1pm then back to the child care site by 5.30pm. Face red (not a lot of sun in Scotland) got home by 6:15pm had a long shower made dinner then saw DH off to work. 2 daughters in bed by 9pm after making sure all the homework and chores were done. Did laundry and settled down in bed with the laptop and here I am.
Well dear lady, I can't let you be the only one to post tonight.
My day was pretty lovely. I did all of my office chores this morning, then set up a still life vignette and photographed it. I'm pretty please with how it turned out and will, no doubt end up posting the resulting painting in the near future.
This afternoon, my boys and I headed down to their favourite stretch of beach. I pulled up a piece of sand and hunted for sea glass and my boys revelled in the last days of summer: using sea onions as bullwhips and crashing into the breakers. "Boys of Summer" came to mind. They had a blast and I thoroughly enjoyed my solitude, just listening to the crashing of the waves and knowing that they were safe.
Eating has been awesome, though I have had more than my fair share of red wine tonight. I will behave tomorrow! ;0)
Oh, the PT from the gym phoned tonight. I guess I'll check in with her in the next week or two. EEK!
Nighty, night!!!
(Oh my gosh, it's only 8:30 and it's dark!!! What the heck!)
Oh my Caroline! I got a chuckle of your description of your day.
I haven't been on the board for awhile and so I'm not sure if you are a regular poster here. If not welcome. Life is so much fun, eh? Being around those kidlet will keep ya young~!
