Good morning everyone. I had a wild Saturday night out with the chickens. If anyone would have told me at 18 what I'd be doing on Saturday nights at 46......

Good Morning

A beautiful sunny morning but I think the morning cool will soon turn into another warm and humid one.

DH is off to the range this morning. Needs everything prepared for the big hunting trip next weekend. I actually like when he goes to the range. It's something he truly enjoys and relaxes him and I don't know why he doesn't go to the local one when it's open. He's meeting his friend that he's going hunting with next weekend out at the outdoor range which is about an hour from here. The target thing is one thing but I'm not real excited about this whole hunting thing. He also never expressed any interest in hunting. Not sure what I'm going to do if he comes home with "something"! I already told him no heads and no rugs!

As for myself it will be the usual Sunday activities for me. My entire refrigerator was cleaned out after last night's "must gos" and definitely need to go Grocery shopping and then on to my nail appointment. I realized this morning that I have bills that need to be paid TODAY and once again my desk area is a mess. It's sort of like laundry-just when I think I have it under control it's in a huge pile again.

I got through the day yesterday without one of those "exercise" headaches as I'm now calling them. I don't know if it was the fact that I took a Tylenol immediately coming in the house when I felt the first twinges of one that prevented it from coming full throttle but whatever the reason it was nice to spend the day without feeling like my entire head was in a vice.

DH very kindly hooked up the new TV yesterday although DS came home from work and didn't like how he had it hooked up and insisted that for the best picture I needed "Monster" cables so he rehooked it up. Don't tell him but I really don't see a difference but then again I'm a girl and not an electronics freak! The big screen is nice and it will be even nicer when the other TV is moved upstairs and the entertainment unit is out of the way. I'm hoping DD and her BF stop by today and he can help DH get the other TV upstairs. Then I have to figure out what is on all the VCR tapes that were lurking in that cabinet. It's amazing what you find behind a hidden door! Other DD had been working on a project of editing and getting all our home VCR movies on DVD and favorite shows that they watched as kids. But when she moved that project halted. We have a DVD player/recorder that can do that job. Next time she's down I think we'll swap DVD players so that she can work on that project when she has time. She'll never have time when she comes to visit.

I may take my bike out for a ride later in the day. I was a bit too lazy this morning and sometimes it's just a pain to get my bike out of the shed. There's always some piece of equipment that has to be moved or is in danger of falling on me or the bike to get it out. So we'll see.

Other than little projects around here it's going to be a lazy day. Hope to get in some reading time and I'm still thinking about what to have for dinner. I think a chicken florentine lasagna may be on the menu. But still thinking....

Lori-I'm glad that you're feeling better. Don't worry we'll always be here for you! I'm just really glad to hear from you.

Karen-please continue posting whenever you can. If you need to step back for awhile we'll certainly understand your need for that-but please don't because you feel the need that you have to be caught up with everyone. I'm here every day but still can't remember everything! I can empathize with the situation with your kids. My DH is also a hard head and with a temper. I've been through the teenage years 3x and let me tell you it's not easy. This last teenager I really did believe would kill me! The girls were a piece of cake compared to him! Whatever your decision you know we'll always be here for you and we do like to keep in touch with everyone even if it's just every once in awhile to let us know how you're doing.

Rhonda-continued prayers for your Dad and for you.

CL-Deb-how's the MIL doing?

Donna-hope you enjoyed your day yesterday!

Patty-this week with the chickens sounds like a tough one. Wishing you good luck!

Well once again the clock is ticking and I still need to get into the shower before heading out for the morning. Hope everyone enjoys her Sunday! Thoughts and hugs for your all!

It is a beautiful morning here on Long Island and I just finished my oatmeal and applesauce. The dryer is twirling away and the washer just shut off with my "work clothes" inside. Need to hang dry them then head into the shower. Katie has been bugging (being polite here) to buy her Ugg boots this year and well we are going to head out the outlets in Riverhead this morning. We discussed going yesterday but too many other things happened or needed to be done. After our trip to the outlet we will head over to see Daniel and Katie can ride him. Next Sunday we are planning to take Daniel to a "rated" horse show and have Katie ride him. So she needs to practice today, and if possible get out there again Tuesday after school. Although I so want to go to WW and restart again. I need to call my inlaws to check on MIL and see what they have planned for today. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since her operation and I would love for them to head over here later in the afternoon. But with this new cat hanging around my house I am concerned. MIL is deathly afraid of cats and when she comes I take my two inside cats and put them in my room but what can I do with an outside stray??? Well I guess I should get moving here. Susan enjoy that new TV. When we got our 60" last year I thought Bill was crazy but we love it. Patty sorry to read you had trouble with your birds, makes for a tough job. Hope it gets better today. Donna, enjoy your football game. Congrats on your reunion, your a better lady then I. Nancy I think being organized with dinner preplaned helps me best. When I already know what dinner will be ahead of the time it makes coming home and my evening better. Plus having my clothes pre-picked and ready helps too. Ladies have a great day today!

I don't know whether the intensity kept it at bay or not. It's the first time in a long time that I haven't had one so we'll have to see. It's also the first time in months that I've had regular caffienated coffee and I honestly don't remember if I was having this problem back when I was drinking regular coffee. Just have to experiment and see what happens. Just really glad it didn't come a-callin' yesterday!

I do wish I was a truly organized person! I'm really fortunate that I have absolutely no commute time to work. I'm five minutes from work-10 when I hit all the red lights or there's just everyone trying to get to work at the same time. I do have a routine I try to follow in the morning with trying to get some laundry done before work since I have little to no energy by the time I get home.

I am very organized when it comes to meal planning. I've always planned meals for the week even when I was a SAHM. It was one trip to the grocery store although when I was living in the city I would walk up to the fruit stands during the week to pick up fresh fruits. I sit with my grocery store circular one evening and plan out my menus for the week. It's always been easier for me even when I was home and the kids would ask at 10AM what was for dinner! I also do prep work for the evening meal since it's pretty much walk in from the paying job and into the kitchen starting the evening meal. I also do really simple meals that can be prepared and put on the table within an hour. After dinner we all have things that need to be taken care of and I have a dog that's anxious to be in search of a certain neighborhood Cookie Lady!

I also make sure the kitchen is all cleaned up the night before and the coffee pot is ready and on the automatic timer for that all important morning brew!

Don't know whether any of this helps but helps me keep a bit more on track.
