Good morning everyone. BNL, love the sound of the things you got yesterday. Especially the red sweater. I'm buying more red lately. Karen, congratulations to DS and his team! Is he exhausted the day after a game?

Just got back from the track where I walked with both my sisters. Very brisk today, 41 degrees this morning. Hard to believe last week this time I was trying to get chickens thru the heat. I think it will be a lazy day

Good Morning,

It is a sunny day here on LI and only having run out to get the Sunday paper off the front lawn there is a definite feel of Fall in the air. My plan had been to get up and try out my new sneakers but that's why we have pencils with erasers! Never did get to the treadmill yesterday either. Falling into bad habits again-that's what happens when I start missing too many days in a row.

I heard from DH yesterday afternoon as he was emerging from the woods! I guess I won't be worrying about heads, skins or meat-absolutely nothing-didn't even see anything. I don't think he really cares he just likes being upstate.

After my playing day yesterday I need to conduct a bit of business around here today. I'm sure I'm not going to make a dent in what probably should be done around here but I think I'm certainly entitled to hooky day every now and then. In my infinite wisdom yesterday and with the months flying by I forgot to buy DD a gift card to mail to her since her birthday is Friday. So I need to either get back to the mall or hopefully DD will be somewhere in the area and she can pick one up for me.

First on the agenda is grocery shopping. All the must gos are gone and the refrigerator is looking mighty empty so need to restock that. I am going for a manicure this morning. I was going to go for a pedicure as well but decided to hold off until next week. I also have bills to pay and finish up the laundry. Included in my day I would love to sit and read for a bit. DD and her BF are coming for dinner. I'll have to see if I remember how to cook. I'm really bad in the eating department when I'm left to fend for myself!

Not at all sure when to expect DH. I know someone recently retired from work passed away and I know he wants to go to the wake so I'm assuming he'll be coming home and perhaps headed back out the door.

Hope everyone is doing well and thinking of each of you!

Good morning fit and healthy women!

I slept like a baby again last night, despite laughing into the wee hours whilst Eric slept away.

It was definitely a beautiful sunny day here on Long Island...fall was in the air. Unfortunately, I spent almost the entire day inside taking a workshop for continuing education credits for my group exercise certification. I have to earn 15 credits in 2 years and today's workshop was worth 5 credits. Thank goodness...I have to get busy taking courses since I only have 9 credits so far. Today's topic was injury prevention and exercise progression. It was interesting and very helpful for us "baby boomers".

We did get out a little early and I went to exchange a Vera Bradley bag I bought in Stony Brook Village which is an old historic village on the Long Island Sound. I exchanged the bag without a problem and got home and kind of pigged out. Ugh...that makes 2 days this week of grazing on a little too much. Sometimes I just feel hopeless with my "self control". Good thing it is Monday tomorrow and new beginning.

It was a busy weekend with doing the PKD walk yesterday (in the rain) and then some cleaning and church. I knew I could not make it to Mass this morning with having to be at the workshop at 9 am for check in.

Nothing else much doing except making a new commitment and a new plan for this week. I WILL GET THIS WEIGHT OFF!!

Patty-you just reminded me that I have to put up some laundry to get a head start on the week.

Oh I forgot to tell you...my DH actually vacuumed while I was gone! I am still in shock!

OK...got that off my chest as I munch on another reduced fat vanilla wafer.

See you all then...I did read the posts from all of you...just a little brain dead as to what to write as a response. Just know I am thinking of you all.

I find that I buy more red when I am feeling in better shape and have more confidence in myself in general. Otherwise, I don't buy much red. The red swimsuit was Tim's idea this year, but when I bought a skimpy red 2-piece in my early 30's, it was because I was in some of the best shape I'd ever been in and felt comfortable wearing it. Sure would like to feel like that again!

I'm in my worst shape ever and feel my confidence slipping away these days so i think I'm buying more red to try to turn those things around.I had my eyebrows done on a whim Friday and went thinner than I had
