I am sprinkling some magic dust over everyone so that we all get a good nights sleep since we all know tomorrow is back to another regular day. How did everyone do today? What did everyone do today? Sounds like some nice weather all over the place, I know it was nice here on Long Island. Everyone ready to head back to school or work in the morning? Or would you prefer another day off?

Well today was an exhausting day here for me. Katie and I spent yesterday out east with Dan getting him ready for todays show. Katie rode him for over an hour yesterday, cleaned his tack, cleaned him, had his mane braided and got him all shinny. We headed home around 7:30 pm and they we were back on our way out east at 5:00 am. We were up at 4:00 and on the road by 5:00! Today was the first time Katie got to take and ride Daniel at a horse show. We were both nervous. It's been a year since we took on the half board of Daniel and since we have been training with Matt, the difference in them is just unbelievable. Up till today Katie had only done schooling shows with kids who ride at other schooling barns. She has done well but today was a completley new challenge. She rode today with 13 other kids who own these horses and ride them 24/7. These kids all under the age of 13 have been showing in this class since the spring and today was the last show of the season. Well my little girl had 4 events and she did not place in the first but for Walk, Trot, Circle she took 6th place, for Cantoring she took 8th place and for jumping cross rails she took 6th place again. This mom is beaming yet again at her little girl. My boys are all off racing and should be home soon. When Katie and I got home I had to close my eyes, Katie made us some dinner and helped me clean up. We are heading upstairs in a minute, we are exhausted. It is chilly here but crisp and clear. It was really chilly this morning, like 47. But as the day continued it got into the 60's. Perfect! Grace, we had our show in Old Field, right by Stony Brook!

Congratulations to Katie and her proud family! She looks adorable in her spiffy riding outfit. I can sure tell she's related to you. :-) Daniel is just magnificent!

Hard to believe these cold temps. I'm hearing. It was 98 here yesterday. Didn't notice what it was today, but it was probably pretty close. We did get some rain yesterday evening and this evening.
