It is quite cool here this morning and feeling very fall-ish although it's supposed to be back up around 80 by the end of the week.
Getting back into the going back to work thing this morning. It will be the first morning for this new "system" at work although I still don't know exactly how this new system is supposed to be operating. Talking to the other boss on Friday for what's he looking for in a new hire is the total opposite of what my boss said they're looking for-maybe they should talk?
DH needs to get back into the groove as well. I think the mountain air did something to him! He left for work and I look outside and he didn't put out the garbage, looked on the kitchen counter-left his coffee here. His sleeping bag is "airing" out in the living room-not sure how much air it's going to get with the amount of dog hair flying around here!
I confess! I went shopping again yesterday. Honest, all I was going to do was pick up a gift card for DD's birthday. Could I help it if the Gap just happens to be on my way through Penneys and they were having sales? I found a great pair of dark jeans that fit so nice and are so comfy. Then when you buy jeans you have to buy something to go with the jeans right? Found a great sweater, sort of a wine colored with what looks like a blouse underneath but it's just the cuffs and the top of the shirt-does that make sense? The shirt part is a pretty stripe with beige, and the wine color of the shirt and a bit of green and a nice thermal type of material pull over with a v neck and pretty snap buttons on the top and a cream color inset. I think I've about tapped out my wardrobe budget for awhile. That's what happens when you go into shopping withdrawal! DD gave me the thumbs up on all my purchases so I felt a bit more confident in my shopping for myself ability!
Besides the shopping bug I did get a lot done yesterday afternoon. I'm making a chicken fried rice from Light & Tasty for dinner tonight so my chicken is all cooked the rice made just have to add the vegetables and other ingredients and make a salad and dinner will be on the table quick and easy tonight. I also made a sauce and meatballs for Tuesday so cooking will be mighty easy the next two nights. DD and her BF came for dinner and I had made brownies for dessert. I indulged in one last night but have them stored away in t he microwave. Out of sight out of mind for me.
There's nothing worse than work dreams. I had several of them last night which made for a fitful night. Woke up to the alarm but went into one of those deep sleeps. I did get up in time though for 30 minutes on the treadmill. I haven't been on it in ages and I was glad to see that it's functioning. Weekends really throw me off the wagon so grab on hold of me and pull me back on up there please!
That's about it from me this morning. Otto and I didn't get out for our walk last night so that will be on the agenda for after dinner. I also have some laundry to finish up that will probably round out my day!
Hope everyone is feeling well and ready to start out the week on a good note!
Good morning everyone......beautiful day here but it was chilly when I first got out of bed. I am feeling the lag of yesterday still and it will be an early night at our house. Got up to start the day and found Bingo had pee-pee on the couch cusion again. That was yesterday mornings fun and discovery so for today he is locked in the back porch with Tiger........argh! Seems last night Bill and Rob discovered the "new" cat currled up shaking because it had gotten so chilly then after they went inside it seems they heard raccoons and thought it was getting attacked......yeah right, so they put this cat into the back patio to let it sleep in the patio on a towel. What am I going to do???? Well Katie has gone to school, Rob has left for school, Billy and Bill off to the shop and the workers are in the back doing the garage thing. There is talk of this project finally being done by midweek! I am not office bound but shower bound in a few minutes. Then its off to the bank and then pick up MIL to head into the city. She has a doctor appointment at 1:00 and I switched my off day to drive her in. It has been 4 weeks since her operation. I have never driven into the city so this should be interesting, lol. Better run so that I can get out of here by 10:00. Have a wonderful day everyone!
No definite plans here. I'd thought I'd try to get some yard work done to get myself back in the groove, but am still feeling exhausted today, like a fibro crash or something. Sometimes it takes a few days to pass. I did watch "Strictly Ballroom" and "Georgia Rule" last night. "Georgia Rule" was pretty good, although it seemed to me that Lindsay Lohan was basically playing herself. I read part of the current issue of "Prevention" and did a few exercises with dumbbells.
We had a strong storm during the night and this morning, so everything is wet. The pool is very full too. I was worried by how the wind sounded. Haven't been outside yet to see if any limbs are down. I need to get a thank-you card written to Erin and Joe and take that to the mailbox, so I should be able to see then.
I canceled my reservation for the Presidency IV event in Orlando the third week of October. I know several people from our club who're going, but I don't have anyone specific to hang out with and I've just lost my enthusiasm about it. There will be 3 nights of hotels and meals for 3 days, plus the $100.00 I've already paid, so I'm thinking I'd rather not spend the money and do all the stuff on the schedule. Now, we can celebrate Dad's birthday closer to the actual day too (22nd).
That's about it from here. Have a strong start to your week.
How far is the new shop from your home? I'd love to see pictures of the 3 outfits you ordered from Coldwater Creek. I have a gift card for there and a Simon card
