Thankful I got to sing Happy First Birthday to Jackson this morning! Erin said he smiled (probably stifling a laugh!) when I sang to him, said YEA for Jackson, and told him I loved him. She and Joe took today off to spend with him and are having portraits done by a lake in downtown Orlando. They aren't getting all the rain we are. The pool guy came this morning and is partially draining the pool to the correct level. Actually, I need to go check that to see if it's time to turn it off.

Hi Rhonda,

Happy First Birthday to Jackson. I hope that Tim has a safe flight too. Flying scares me. I've never done it but Steve travels on business all the time. He went to Japan last year and my daughter has been to Germany. I think the longest trip i have ever taken was to Florida and i live in SC. Is Rob your son? Sorry i don't know everyone yet..

Hope you are having a wonderful day..

Thanks, Vanessa. Yes, Rob is my son. He's 18 and graduated from high school this year. He's decided he wants to join the Coast Guard, which is causing a lot of anxiety for me. My dad was in the CG many, many years ago before he and Mom married. My daughter, Erin, and her family live in Orlando.

Hi Rhonda,

I can understand why...it's hard to watch your children grow up..i know...my daughter just left for college. She has never been away from home before..i know...i worry to much...but isn't that what mothers do...lol

Susan don't ever feel your workouts are embarrassing! Just getting up earlier to do them and doing 30 minutes is awesome. Thirty minutes are all you need and even that only has to be 3 times a week. So you are ahead of the game especially with walking Otto...or should I say, Otto walking you.

I am so sorry that DS has those bulging disks. How awful for him to be so uncomfortable at such a young age.

Eggplant sauce? Oh does that sound divine! Is it something you put together yourself?

And yes, the TV on can be annoying with it just on one chanel but flipping around? UGH! You are a saint to put up with it. I can't stand that even when we are not in bed and trying to sleep.

Hang in there and I do hope those doctors get their acts together.

Good afternoon...from a fellow participant in defluffing. It makes me smile just saying and thinking "defluff". Lots of inspiring messages today...I am still digesting it all. And yes, we do and can make our own happiness. It just proves that if you force yourself to smile, you will feel better and look at things on the bright side. Looking into my new granddauther's eyes today really opened up my eyes and made me feel so good inside. Spending time with "my girls" today after teaching a
