I used to love the light touch and hot stone massages and would cringe at the thought of a sports massage or deep tissue.

I've had osteopenia for about 6 years now. And now with the latest bone density my numbers for the spine are just slightly above having osteoporosis and the hips are a little better. I've been taking the extra calcium with D since my last scan and doing trying to get as much calcium that through my diet and obviously trying to exercise. Although now I know adding magnesium and Vitamin K also helps although the doctors never mention that.
She didn't really give me an option about taking medication this time and of course my regular md wanted me on medication after the scan two years ago. She has prescribed Actenel. Fortunately for us we have prescription coverage and with this 5th prescription added on to my list I say a mighty big thanks for the excellent coverage we have.
I'm concerned about the side effects as I'm already dealing with the reflux thing and various other issues that I'm still working on with the gastro doctor. I took my first one today but I still am waiting to speak to one of the doctors about my concerns with taking this.
I certainly don't want osteoporosis. My mother suffered from it and eventually ended up with a broken hip. My sister who's had boderline numbers for years now has osteoporosis. So I obviously have the hereditary thing against me.
Let me know how you do with the Actenol and I let you know too!

DD would just love that cake! Some of her all time favorites!
Little did I know that when I mentioned my "Ring Ding" pregnancy that it would spark a conversation about Ho Ho, cupcakes and all these sweet things that are dancing around in my head at the moment.
Glad I came out of the grocery store this evening with only the intended 1/2 gallon of milk and nothing to dunk into it!

Glad to hear that you had an early release from the zoo and the work week is over! Enjoy the kids and your Pats this weekend!

Otto is a rather "weight challenged" beagle although I think there's some basset hound in him as well from the shape of his body. We adopted him from a local shelter when he was about 1 1/2. He's now 11. He's mellowed a bit over the years from the food snatching, garbage invading, chocolate crazed dog of a few years ago. Surgery on his rear leg a few years ago has slowed him down a bit but he still finds his ways to get into trouble but I love him anyway!
Muffin is a cutie!

Talking about Otto and other dogs, received this today...
If you need me today, I'm afraid I will be unavailable.
I am going to be standing in front of a mirror practicing this look.
And once I have it mastered...
I should be able to get away with absolutely ANYTHING!
My mom loves reflexology. Have you ever had that done?
