Just have to say -- GO TEBOW!!! What a quarterback, and he's from Jacksonville!! The Gators beat Ole' Miss in a close one.
The weather didn't cooperate for Tim and me to walk on the beach this morning. I had sent him a text telling him to sleep in, but he sent one back asking if I'd like to go to breakfast. So, we did. He had been up most of the night, unable to sleep with all that was running through his head since the big meeting, and was pretty exhausted. He wouldn't have been up for the walk anyway. I brought him back to the house to get his car, then I decided to take a chance and go to the beach by myself, because it looked as though it was clearing in that direction. Turned out to be beautiful once I got there. I walked a little over 2
Rhonda, your walk on the beach sounds wonderful.I'd love to do that! Sounds like things with Tim are moving in a good direction, so glad.
No excitement or big things here yesterday.Worked in Cl and in the yard and hung out with Bob.It was near 90 here yesterday, couldn't believe it. In the week ahead we're expecting 90, low 80s and the mid 70s.
I watched a show on tv yesterday about a young girl with CP.She had never spoken but was watching a music video and finally said her first word at 9. Her family
Interesting sort of day around here yesterday. DH actually asked me to help him move the entertainment center out of the hallway. Said it was bothering him...now there's a first! So with some struggle when we got to the bottom of the stairs since there's not much room to maneuver we got it down there, unloaded the other cabinet got the new one in place and got all my dvds and tapes in place and it actually looks good there. I was able to find a way to repurpose the other cabinet except that by the time I was ready to move things around to put my ideas in place you know who put what he thought should be in there. I really wasn't looking to share! DH did some electrical work to move the switch for the laundry room to a more convenient location for me. My BIL's memorial service is on Wednesday and I asked him if he had taken the day off. Seems the man never took the day off and it wasn't a oh wow I forgot it was a I didn't and I'm not going too. He's made more than one comment about what she decided to do. My sister has obviously taken a very non traditional route but that was her choice and both she and her late husband are very non traditional people. So I've more or less been told that if he doesn't go will I be able to find a way to get into the city. I was going to call my sister on LI but talking to my other sister it seems like she and her whole family are going so her car will be full. Looks like DD and myself are on our own unless he decides to do. I've never driven in the city and I have absolutely no idea where this church is. My sister was talking something about the West Side Highway and she might have well been speaking another language. Give me a location on LI and I'll get you there but put me anywhere within Manhattan and I'm a lost cause. I'll have to give my sister a call and see if they don't have room whether at least my BIL can give me some sort of handle on directions. I'm beyond annoyed at him about this. By late afternoon the hole was getting deeper. In his effort to repurpose everything that I feel should be thrown out the subject of our old vertical blinds came up which sat behind my living room couch for years and now have been sitting in the basement. So he kept telling me he was going to hang them down here in front of his workbench so that it would close the area off. Why? His little area has never bothered me. In fact when he suggested he put it there I told him it was a good idea. So as I was cooking dinner he was attaching wood to the ceiling tiles. We ate, I walked Otto and By the time I got home from walking Otto he apparently put a hole into one of the pipes in the ceiling causing a leak and I had no water for the remainder of the evening. By 8PM he was in Home Depot looking for a fitting and by 9:30 couldn't find his torch to finish the job. I'm just curious if the job is going to be finished today. He usually takes his Sunday day of rest very seriously. So my nice and neat small portion of the basement is in shambles again as his section is part of my workout area. I'm just curious once he fixes the plumbing issue whether he'll still want to hang his blinds!
I seemed to have done everything but what I should have done yesterday. A good portion of the cleaning that should have been done wasn't but my house is already for fall despite the sweat that was dripping off of me doing. The humidity was nasty yesterday and by afternoon we had rain. Although the weather isn't fall like the house is. I was exhausted by the end of the day and sort of frustrated with myself for not doing what I should have been doing. I was annoyed at the XY and my efforts at putting a list together for the grocery store didn't get too far.
The day definitely had some good points but once again has left me questioning the mind of the XY!
