It has been a day indeed and that big bright moon in the sky may explain at least part of it! Entered the workplace about 8:55 and about 9:05 was ready to call it a day and wondering how soon Friday could get here! The mayhem certainly made the day pass quickly but unfortunately not much accomplished except a whole lot of aggravation!

But it's over and I enjoyed my taco night dinner and it's always nice to get out of the house after dinner for my nightly walk with Otto. It's a pleasant evening and it was an absolutely beautiful day weather wise. Just to bad more of it couldn't have been spent outside.

I managed to stay in control of my eating and avoiding a big slice of the cake that's sitting in my kitchen. DD tried to talk me into a piece after dinner-but I looked at the fat and calories that I consumed yesterday and didn't really care to indulge a second day in a row.

I did mention laundry activity in my post this morning but that's just not going to happen. I think everyone has enough undies to keep themselves from being embarrassed that I'm proclaiming it a laundry free night.

Dinner dishes, I do believe have been finished so that I can go in and finish up cleaning up the kitchen and then I'm plunking myself in the big chair for the rest of the evening.

Hope you've all had a good day and the products of the full moon haven't gotten you!

As usual I had lots of things planned to get done but the "to do" list barely got touched. I worked in CL and came out to go for a run. Decided to take Bob with me. Come out the side door and a fox is out there. Bob sees him first and takes off after him. Thankfully he got away and went

Patty, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL's brother. Does he have an IV in? I know that sounds like a silly question, but when my dad was in the hospital in Oct., he got so severely dehydrated that he didn't know anyone and became unconscious. I mention it in hopes that it might be something that slipped through the cracks and could help him. I will add him to my prayers. What is his name?

It was a wild and crazy day here. I was out pulling weeds and skimming the pool, thinking I'd like to call Tim and invite him to come swim and take a nap, then go back to work tonight when he was more refreshed. I heard the back door and thought Rob had finally gotten up, but it was Tim!! He had called and called and gotten no answer, but decided to come anyway. The pool turned out to be too cold with all the rain water that's been added, so we went to lie down. We ended up talking and letting him tell me about how things are going and some upcoming things. I turned over to spoon, and before I knew it, I was in-and-out of a sound sleep. He laughed and got up to go back to work, because he couldn't sleep. I didn't get to bed until 3 AM, so I was ready for some sleep.

We got a fairly hard rain, which made it impossible to work more in the yard. Rob and I decided to go to Clark's Fish Camp for an early dinner. He was in the mood for crab again. It started raining again right as we got there. When it stopped, the creek was smooth as a mirror. We could see some manatees playing out toward the middle and there was a gator near the shore. A pretty blue heron landed on a nearby sign in the water. It poured again during dinner, then stopped. That's Florida weather for you.

After dinner, I got a call from Tim that he and his looney sister had had a big argument. She goes through cycles and rants and carries on, and she did it one too many times for him to be able to stand it any longer. He got his stuff and moved to a hotel. Of course, she called right away, but he didn't answer. She later came to the office to tell him she was so sorry, but he'd had it. She's wanted to break us up ever since she got here and rented a 2-bedroom apartment with him having one in mind, so I'm sure she's frantic that he's no longer there. I say, couldn't happen to a more deserving person! She pretended to be my friend, but is no friend of mine. I learned the hard way. He talked about possibly coming home in a few days, but I said I only wanted that if he was in the right frame of mind. He said we could talk about it later. We talked later this afternoon, and I said again I didn't want it to happen for the wrong reason -- because he didn't want to pay a hotel bill and had nowhere else to go. He said he understood.

Rob doesn't want him to come home or for us to get back together!! He is really po'd by all that's happened and thinks it's in my best interest to move on. I think Erin feels the same way. Still, they have not been in my place and don't know all the facts and feelings. I am still having him complete the financials for the divorce agreement, so I haven't changed my mind about having all the loose ends tied up. He worked on it some last night.

Rob is helping his best friend's family set up their Halloween village that's got 30+ buildings and will take 3 areas to set it all up! I think that's so cool. Now, if I can just get him to replace one spotlight by the driveway... We are going to go to the Blue Crab crabhouse together Thursday night. They're a really fun couple and the guy loves crabs, so it should be a lot of fun.

I trimmed some of the shrubs in the butterfly garden away from the road this evening. I'm sure the mail carrier will appreciate having better access to the mailbox again.

Oh, I kept hearing scratching sounds from Rob's lizards, went in there, and one of the bigger uromastyx had gotten over a screen and was on the side with the smaller bearded dragon. I was afraid he might eat him. I immediately called Rob's cell phone and heard it ring on his bed beside me!! Thankfully, I have the land line for the place where he is and called. He asked if I could just pick him up, so he wouldn't have to come home. At first I said flat out no, then I asked where his suede gloves are. He said they were dirty from handling the tegu (If it had been the tegu, there'd have been NO way!). So, I got a pair of his dirty underwear (LOL!), balled them up, and picked the guy up and put him back where he belongs. I can't believe I did that. Hope he's not back on the other side. Better check again. Everything's OK for now.

"Dancing with the Stars" started at 8 tonight. I haven't been able to get too excited about this season's competitors. I will go see what's happening though.

Have a good night.

I actually make my brown rice in the microwave. Super quick and easy and I think it comes out just as good as on top of the stove.

If I'm making 2 servings it's 5 minutes at full power and 5 minutes at 50%power. I use a bowl deep enough that I've never had a problem with it boiling over. I use the Uncle Ben's and maybe the one I use is a quicker cooking version. I just threw the box out so I don't know the exact name of it.
