At least you'll get a quick fix in oh, about 9 months, Patty. LOL! I don't knit, so I'll just have to buy her some shoes!!

I'm trying to get Rob up for his eye dr. appt., but not having much success. Boy, is the Coast Guard in for it when it's time to get him out of bed (or vice versa ;-).

I had a very good Zumba class last night. She kicked our butts, but at the end surprised us by teaching us the "Thriller" dance for our cool down, since we're getting close to Halloween. It was really fun. I wore my new camo pants and managed to keep them up. She said she could't keep those particular ones up -- probably because she's so slim.

No other set plans for today. I will use the dumb bells tonight though. Have a good one!

Good Morning,

So Patty are we planning a FOF baby shower? Is Karen going to be bringing the cupcake cake?

I took the entire day off from work as we need to be in NYC for BIL's memorial service this afternoon. It promises to be a very warm and humid day for the LIRR and subway trip into the city.

I woke up as if my alarm were going to go off at 4:45 with a continuation of a headache from yesterday and then couldn't go back to sleep even though I didn't have to get up. I finally got up around 6 and decided to head to the basement for a workout. My heart and mind just wasn't there and found my mind wandering and hoping the 30 minutes was up. Both my stomach and head are doing flip flops and I'll attribute part of it to nerves. I really have an aversion to the NYC subway system. I'm fine on the train and walking to whatever destination we're going to but we're headed to the upper West Side which is more or less a 30 minute subway ride and then a 2 block walk. We'll be right by the UN and Columbia University. My sister has already told me that the cathedral is very warm even on a cooler day and she's anticipating a lot of people being there. I think I'll be very glad when the day is over. I'm going to take a shower and 2 Advil and hope that it relieves some of the pressure in my head.

DD has some type of upper respitory thing and won't be coming along. The only doctor's appointment she could get was for today. She sounds terrible and apparently is the victim of something that's going around the school.

Nothing much else going on around here. Just sorting of hanging around the house this morning before heading over to the train station around 11:30.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.

I think you're too skinny for your camo pants too!

Afternoon Everyone,

Just a quick check-in so I don't feel completely out of the loop and low and behold I find Patty's exciting news.

Me again,

Just spent my lunch break with a mug of hot Earl Gray tea and the posts here on the board and couldn't go back to work without telling you all how every time I take some time away from the board because of life's demands I find that when I come back and take time to read the posts I find myself uplifted and wondering why I didn't time the time each day to get my daily dose of our board.

Patty...so sorry to hear about your father in law's brother.
