Another busy day at work. I work hard all day but feel like there is little accomplished by the end of the day.
I actually fell asleep at lunchtime today. I came home as I usually do for lunch and I got so sleepy that I closed my eyes for a few minutes and realized when I woke up that I had better move it or I was going to be late getting back to the office. Not sure what I was so tired for but I guess I was.
Ran over to Best Buy after dinner to pick up a gift card for DS. He's always buying movies so I figured he would enjoy the card.
Nothing much else going on around here. Struggling with my sweet tooth the past 2 days and there is just something about pizza for dinner that makes me crave something sweet afterwards.
Not much else to report. I'll probably head upstairs and settle into one of the chairs and hope that I can stay awake until 10. Such an exciting life!
Good evening! Susan, I thought you were going to say that your storm baby was conceived during that storm. I've heard of storm parties, but that would be one way to ride out the storm! LOL! Happy Birthday to him.
Karen, congratulations on another win! We have the Alabama-FSU game in town at our municipal stadium Saturday, so a lot of fans are already here. The RV City at the stadium got started a couple of days ago. Wonder if those fans will even remember the game. ;-) Gators play Auburn Sat., so you know what I'll be doing.
Patty, I would never have guessed you'd be the one to take a vow of celibacy. :-) Are you sure you weren't just talking in your sleep this morning?
I can't remember what I've posted and what I haven't. Rob and I had quality time together Wed. We went by Tim's office and talked to the friend who's an officer in the Coast Guard Reserves, then rode to Mayport Naval Station where the CG is based here. We got to go in the Exchange, because it's before you go on the base. Rob got 2 CG tees, some running shorts with the emblem on them, and a CG toiletries holder, so he was a happy guy. I got him to agree to walk on the beach with me briefly. He actually ended up swimming twice while I found 9 shark teeth. Love that ocean air! Trouble is we're having a red tide. I think it's the first one I can remember. Rob and a friend went surfing today, just came in, and said there were dead fish all over the place. Usually you hear about it in the Gulf of Mexico.
Yesterday, I spent 4 hours with Dad at the nursing home. We took bread and popcorn out to feed the ducks, which he enjoys a lot. We watched the news and went through the newspaper and discussed some of that. He'd had PT that morning, but had some pretty taxing OC that afternoon. It was a very good visit.
I've tried to buy the movie, but haven't been able to find it several places lately. The copy I rented is flawed, so that's a pain. It's such a feel good movie. Erin used to be like that about "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" with Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt when they were still teens or just barely beyond.
