Tuesday Evening Check In Time

The day is winding down here in the northeast and inquiring minds would like to know how you spent your day...please tell!
Susan

I'm ready for the unwinding portion of the day. Another busy day at work but I was put into do not disturb mode for the morning and managed to do what I had to do so that the monthly billing could begin.
I also managed to pop a button off the front of my blouse and spent about 10 minutes crawling around underneath my desk to try to find it. It's a special button and it's black which blended right in with the dark blue carpet. Fortunately I found a safety pin to secure the place of the missing button. While I'm floundering around it suddenly occurs to me "did I shut the iron off this morning?" I had the iron on twice and I knew I shut it off the first time but wasn't quite sure about the second. I headed home for lunch and when I opened the basement door I heard the familiar beep, beep, beep of the iron telling me that it was still on. Fortunately the turn itself off feature was working so no damage was done. I find myself doing a lot of second guessing and groping around for information that used to come so easily to me. Don't know whether it's just my brain function not quite what it used to be or whether my brain is just on overload. Either way it's very frustrating!
It also occurred to me today that I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be taking calcium supplements any longer being on the Actonel. I called my gyn's office yesterday. She wasn't in. Called the office 3x today to be met with we're sorry all the operators are busy we can't take your call right now. So then I decided to call my regular doctor's office. I had to do 20 questions with the girl answering the phone who promised as soon as I see him I'll call you. That was an hour and a half ago. So we'll see whether I get an answer to a really very easy yes or no question.
I ditched Otto this evening. DH was in and out of the house and I figured that's when the call would come and I didn't leave my cell phone number. He's home now but it's dark and I'm just not ready for the after dark walks yet although it's been getting so dark so early these days.
Besides my memory lapses I think DH is trying to drive me crazy and I'll just say it's a short trip. Besides all the many stunning decorating features I've had around the house-toilets, boxes I now have a collection of crumbled paper towels sitting in a chair in our bedroom. I was informed not to throw them out. I've been assured that they haven't been used for anything other than wiping hands but apparently they add carbon to his compost pile! I expressed my general dissatisfaction with this but there they sit. I'm all for his composting efforts but please put them in the proper receptacle! Oh...DH also likes hot peppers on his pasta so he decided that he would cut around the pepper and save the seeds (which are sitting on a paper towel on my dining room table), dry them out, put them in an envelope and plant them next year! I really just don't know quite to make of any of this anymore. If anyone would like any further decorating tips please feel free to ask!
Hope that everyone has had a good day!
Susan
Today the MOST incredible thing happened!! I was able to take my

It sounds like we all have lives very similar....busy, rushed, and wondering if our minds are deserting us and if our bodies are really ours and not someone else's idea of a joke on us.

We are drowning (glub! glub!) down here! This is the 2nd nor'easter in 2 weeks and the soil is just totally saturated. At my dr's. office yesterday, the street was so flooded that they had to move their cars to a different area of the parking lot so they could get to them in case the water came higher. Two weeks ago water was actually in their lobby, and the building is a foot off the ground! They had to leave their cars and water got in those too.
Patty, when we went to the beach the last time, I noticed I started coughing periodically out of the blue. I couldn't understand why. Later that night I heard about the red tide. It's bad for people who have respiratory problems.
It is blowing and raining hard. Rob and I, nuts that we are, were out in it tonight

It's 751pm and I've just taken two Excederin PMs so I hope I don't fall asleep whilst I'm typing this up!
I hope Eric doesn't come home and ask me what I did with my day...I can't really even make anything up.
Congrats on the jeans!
My hormones go away every other month.
