Gray, gloomy, rainy weather here on LI. The sun is supposed to appear at some point during the day and some wind to come along with it and some much cooler weather. I may have to pull out a sweatshirt or two this weekend.
TGIF! It was a shorter work week but it was indeed a busy and tiring one. Still have to get through today and will be glad when the 5PM hour arrives.
Looks like we'll be dryer shopping this evening. DH is pretty sure he knows what's wrong but not sure that it's a repair that he wants to tackle and we both know to get someone in here and pay for parts and labor it may cost close to a new dryer and we'll still have a 20 year old dryer. DS had to go to work in shorts today since all his work clothes are either dirty or wet (and I'm sure rather foul smelling at this point. My neighbor said I could use their dryer so after work I'll probably rewash what's in the dryer and dry that load so he'll have some dry pants! I don't have much space for hanging laundry and it's so damp out that it probably wouldn't smell too great and jeans have a way of drying like cardboard.
We had another email about Luke. He had surgery at one hospital and is back at Sloan for his 4th round of chemo. I just can't imagine 9 hours of surgery and then have to endure more chemo. He had a partial collapse of one of his lungs but apparently this wasn't unusual or unexpected. Just can't imagine what this little boy and his family have endured and are still going through.
Patty-keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be Day 11 headache free! Hope everything is OK with your FIL.
Grace-that instructor sure sounds like a piece of work. Sounds like she belongs in the same group as someone that DD works with who went in to a classroom to evaluate a lesson plan for a teacher and ripped her apart right in front of her class. Makes you wonder what goes through some people's minds!
Karen-hope things settle down with the moving of DH's company. Sounds like a very stressful time.
Well that's about it from my neck of the woods. Hope everyone enjoys a fantastic Friday and TGIF!
I know that picture isn't Florida... I was going to guess Wyoming.
Well, I made myself get up and get ready for Zumba this AM, but it was a struggle. I bet I woke up a dozen times last night. It is so frustrating and tiring. Did the class, which had a couple of new routines she must have taught last week or Tuesday night. They were fun though. I was really dripping by the time we finished. She told me about the Zumba group being on The Today Show, and I told her J-Deb had told me. She said Tanya does the DVD, and Christine
Good morning, Patty and all.
