I have been watching the news about MRSA. While they are telling people not to panic, it sounds horrifying when it hits an area.
I have really been stressing more than ever about hand washing. They say that is the number one defense against the bacteria.
My kids and I are all members of several gyms. That is one way it is spreading, so I am trying to be much more germ conscious than ever before.
We are not big antibiotic users. I wish more people would wake up and say no to antibiotics unless they are ABSOLUTELY necessary.
Maybe doctors should be penalized for overprescribing, or maybe there should be more stringent guidelines as to when doctors CAN prescribe them. It sounds to me as though the medical profession has accidentally created this crisis through trying to be too helpful.
