Good morning everyone. Had a post done, hit post and it was gone. Sheesh! Oct. 18th and we're starting the day at 60 degrees! Whohoo!

Good Morning,

A warm start to the day with temperatures in the 70's. I wish Mother Nature would decide what season we're actually in.

DS left early this morning for the trip to the airport and his flight first to Baltimore and then on to VA. It's partially business for a company that they do business with but with at least one day of an activity of their choice. Weather permitting I know DS will be heading to Busch Gardens. He actually asked me to go shopping with him to pick up some new jeans and some polo shirts. Never, ever did I think I would see him wearing polo shirts. It was interesting shopping with him. He's definitely changed his tastes in clothes and I think my "little" boy is growing up!

Older DD is starting up with a WW group at work. Some of the teachers and office workers have been very successful so they're starting up a new group. DD is heading towards her 30's and she doesn't like some of the changes she's starting to see. She also has had back problems since her first car accident 4 years ago and she feels like some of the extra pounds are a problem for her. She's hoping to lose a few pounds and then maintain the weight. Maintenance has always been an issue for her. I hope she brings some of her materials home with her. Today is her first weigh in day.

It was a bit of a struggle to get myself up and out of bed this morning. It was a restless night of sleep and not a lot of pep in my step to get to the basement. I pulled some tapes out of the archives and did the Tamilee Webb "I Want Those Buns" and "I Want Those Arms". I fully expect with the squats and lunges that by tomorrow I may need a cane to get around!

I have a spaghetti squash all cooked up for a casserole that I'm improvising a bit on. I'm replacing the beef with ground chicken and sauteing up some extra veggies (eggplant, zucchini and red pepper) with some garlic and seasonings throwing in some tomato sauce with a bit of mozzerella cheese on top and baking it in the oven. DD and I love spaghetti squash although I'm not sure of the reaction to the rest of the veggies and DH will just think I'm trying to kill him with all the veggies...but it will have the ground chicken in it for his meat loving self.

Planning on an after dinner walk and then with the exception of cleaning up the kitchen there will be no laundry folding, washing or any other household task! Just me and my chair!

Thankfuls-

Shopping with DS-it was quite insightful!

DD's safe return from her trip.

A new perspective to my mental attitude.

The wonderful support and friendship of everyone here.

Yoga pants and tshirts after a day of wearing work clothes!

Good books

New recipes

That's about it from my neck of the woods. Time to finish up and get ready for the paying job. Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday!

I am thankful that I don't have to work tomorrow. These past two weeks at work have been incredibly stressful. One of the managers in our unit is leaving and on her way out, she is leaving a maelstrom of rubble in her wake. Seriously, she has always been less than easy to deal with; however, now she is out of control and causing all kinds of problems, just to hurt people - that is the way she is. Unfortunately, her director doesn't do anything about it (his tendency), so us peons are left to deal with the aftermath, and it is getting bad. The only upside is that she is using up her vacation before she leaves, so she's been gone in the afternoons and will be gone all week. The question is "why does she care so much" about the issues she is bringing up or causing a stink about? Who knows.

I am also really thankful that I got my house really clean this week so that I can just relax a bit this afternoon and tomorrow.

DH and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary by going out to dinner on Saturday. He is probably going out Friday night with his brother who is visiting from Florida, but I think I might stay home. I like his brother, but I get no joy from going to bars and watching the antics of 20-something females that appear to fascinate him but that he's too afraid to talk to. It gets old quickly.

Speaking of DH, he is always someone who makes my load lighter. He helped a great deal with the cleaning this week and will spend time this weekend cleaning off the front porch, putting the summer furniture in storage, he does laundry, vacuums (I did most of it this week, and he did the stairs because I hate doing them). It is nice to know that I am not "expected" to do the housework. He doesn't always do things as often as I would, so I've no trouble doing it; but it's nice to know that if I need help, he's there no questions asked. And, he makes dinner, too!!!

This got longer than I expected LOL!

Hi all...the hand is doing a lot better Patty and thanks for asking. The bruising is slowly going away and the lump is much smaller and not as sensitive. I may make it to that wedding without it looking too terrible.

I have not been around and will probably be scarce because now I am experiencing vertigo. It comes and goes and it hit me yesterday when I went down to do abs after the step class. I had to sit up and stay upright! I woke up this morning feeling it badly and had to call the class coordinator 7 am to get coverage for the 8:30 class. We decided to make sure I got coverage for tomorrow "just in case". I will not drive feeling like this. I am sure it is my sinuses and hoping it isn't my ear again like a year ago or so. I have pressure behind my nose and forehead so let's say it is that.

Hope to be around again soon.

So sorry to hear about your vertigo. One of the ladies here at work has dealt with it for years; she blacks out sometimes. She's had a lot of tests, and I am not sure if they've been able to find the root cause. Take care of yourself!
