How did your day turn out? If you planned a day of R&R did it work out that way? Lots of things on your to do list? Did you manage to check them off?
Susan

The weather here was absolutely beautiful. A bit on the windy side but a really nice Indian summer day.
My to do list was long and by lunchtime I didn't think I had accomplished much but this afternoon Suzy Homemaker was flying and I'm happy with the results although I doubt that anyone else will notice. Although DH was impressed with the kitchen floor. Not sure why or maybe it was just that dirty that removing the grime made it look really good! Laundry is whirled and twirled. I would like to say that it's all put away but it's neatly folded at any rate. Dusted, vaccumed, both bathrooms are cleaned and kitchen scrub down after dinner as well as the dishes done and put away. Otto and I enjoyed an afternoon walk in the sunshine. Dinner was a simple but delicious shrimp over spinach fettucini in a garlic tomato sauce with some feta cheese tossed in. Took about 20 minutes to put together but it was good if I do say so myself. Still have to tackle a grocery list and menus for the coming week but I'll do that after I settle myself in my comfy chair. Dh spent the day outside putting brakes on my car and his truck, flushed out my car radiator and put fresh antifreeze and apparently found nails in all four of my tires. He got everything done on his to do list.
Well better get at that grocery list before I fall asleep in the chair!

A busy day here too. I cleaned out all the old flour, grains, etc., from the pantry and now have a ton of Tupperware type containers I didn't realize I had. Think I'll see if anyone else in the family can use some. Washed one load of clothes and folded 4 loads. Cleaned behind appliances on counters and other kitchen areas and took out trash.
I got to the nursing home about 2:30. Dad was really down in the dumps, because he thought today was his party and that someone was coming to get him earlier. He's been having a lot of company, but none up to that point today. Mom, Cheryl, Lauren, and the girls were looking at mattresses, getting some clothes for Dad, and things like that. They got there about 25 minutes after I did. By then, he was feeling somewhat better. He hadn't eaten all day!
We had the UF-Kentucky game on Dad's TV and the FSU-Miami game on his roommate's. The roomie was in the day room all day, which was fine with us. I am pleased the Gators won. Cheryl and Lauren are crushed that the Seminoles lost. I got to visit with the little ones while we watched the game.
On the way home, I went to a BJ's over that way to pick up Dad's cake. It's very autumny and masculine looking. Got another cannister of chocolate covered raisins too. He goes through those pretty fast, because he likes to share with the people who take care of him. Looked for a TV stand there and at a Big Lots, but no luck.

Today has been a very laid back and relaxing kind of day.

I had to laugh when I read what you and your DD consumed today. My "healthy" dinner was a chicken burrito supreme from Taco Bell at 10:15!! I had been on the run and had groceries in the car, so I pulled through the drive thru about 9:45.
We have a Buca di Beppo at the mall near us. We've eaten there only twice though. Erin's wedding shower was in a room at the one in Winter Park.

"when I read the ingredients ( grape juice in an ice cream dessert) I decided I wanted to cut out things like that this week and focus more on fresh fruits. Of course I'm saying this on Sunday......"
I say that every Sunday, Patty.
