Another rainy gloomy day here on LI. It's supposed to be like this over the next few days. It's also gotten quite chilly with temperatures only in the low 50's. Good going back to bed weather!
Hard time convincing myself to get out of bed and down to the basement for any type of workout. Otto crying at the back door to go out at 5:15 was my inspiration to get up and stay up.
I spent part of my early morning hours scooping up an exploded pumpkin. I was smelling something and of course everyone else denied smelling anything. I think they were busy blaming the dog. The thing just rotted, exploded and of course left a trail of liquid that I'm not sure what that did to my wood laminate flooring. The one thing you don't want with laminate flooring is any amount of liquid sitting too long on it. So it was scooping up the nastiness and mopping up the floor and probably throwing out the runner that was on the floor in the hallway. That's probably not going to be any big loss since I ask people to wipe their feet and remove their shoes on the mat by the front door and not wipe their feet on the runner but instead they use both and keep their shoes on but then again what do I know!
Off to the dermatologist after work. There are a few things that concern me and one of those appointments that I've been putting off for awhile. DH went yesterday and came home with a 'tude and telling me that it was a waste of his time. Not sure what he meant and he didn't seem to want to elaborate. I think he was annoyed because he has some skin tags that he would like to have removed but that requires a further appointment and apparently aren't covered by insurance and that just didn't sit well with him. Not surprised. I would think that he would be happy that he came back with a clean bill of health.
Another day where I need a serious attitude adjustment so I'll work on that today. I am thankful that I made this doctor's appointment that I've been putting off and hoping for a clean bill of health. Thankful for a job that helps to keep the bills paid. Thankful for a good cup of coffee in the morning. Thankful for you ladies here, there and everywhere that always keep me smiling!
That's about it from me this morning. Off to sort some laundry-that got delayed due to the pumpkin pick up in Aisle One this morning! Hope everyone has a great day!
Gorgeous picture, Patty! I'd love to be in that spot. You and I may have the same "due date". Boy, I can tell I'm not as stressed as I was. I've put all the weight back on that I'd lost. I think some of the inches are still gone though. I've been munching way too much on all the snacks we bring Dad at the nursing home to put weight on him. They're working, but on all of us! I'll be heading over that way today around lunch time.
Today's the first day I've used the curling iron on my hair since she cut it. I didn't realize how much shorter it is, including my bangs. I'll be more comfortable when my bangs are a little longer. I think some of the post-op
These dreary gray spells are murder. So hard to get motivated. Hate them, and DST ends November 4th, so it's going to be getting darker a lot earlier. The evenings outside are some of my favorite times. I bought 2 trays of Sweet Williams to plant a few days ago, but it's too wet to be able to plant them, so there they sit in their trays waiting for the sun
Oh we have cooler temps and mud here too. We've somehow gone from drought to rainiest October in just a week. I think they said we got 8+ inches of rain in the last few days. Amazing. The leaves are just starting to change so hopefully we'll get some beautiful color before they just all hit the ground.
I am happy to report-and not so quietly-that there is about one inch less of me posting today than has been before. I've been doing Pilates for nearly 2 months now and I measured and my waist is nearly one inch smaller. I can actually see a little difference (unless I'm trying

Good morning - oops, missed it....
Settling in for a nice lunch at my desk, and I'm going to take my time and enjoy it while I'm checking the message boards.
