Good Morning,

A beautiful autumn morning here on LI. A bit of frost this morning and it's chilly and it's also time for me to remember that I don't seem to have a lightweight jacket other than sweatshirts. Looks like I'll have to go shopping in DD's closet!

Another work week beginning, another weekend has flown by making me wonder where it went and exactly what did I do. Apparently the laundry has multiplied and trying to beat it back with a stick although that looks like it's not going to be very successful.

We did get DD's BF's refrigerator. Unfortunately we took his and his arrived damaged. I took the contents of his freezer and whatever he wanted to salvage out of the refrigerator home with me until he gets his new one. He's apologizing that he's taking up room in my refrigerator while he gave us a free refrigerator. The extra refrigerator is now sitting in the middle of my laundry room. DH is going to have to do a shift change of his "stuff" to get into the spot that was reserved if we ever had the opportunity to get an extra fridge.

Down to the basement this morning. Plan was to use the treadmill. But apparently either the treadmill has a mind of its own or its haunted. The speed accelerated on its own and we'll just say thank goodness for an emergency stop button that works! Although the slow down sure was abrupt. I guess it's a good thing it didn't throw me off of it. On to plan B and used the exercise bike instead (maybe Margie and I were peadling at the same time :), did some weights, some abs, some work on the legs and some stretching. Good move on my part since it turned out to be a really good workout.

Rescheduled dentist appointment is this evening. It's not until 7PM and really not loving that time. I'd rather go right after work but there was nothing available.

I'm going to be looking at the work calendar and planning out the rest of my vacation. I think I'll just take it in days. DD is off 11/12 so I think I'll take that day and perhaps get a head start on Christmas shopping. I guess since the mall is already decorated and Santa's chair in place (which by the way annoys me beyond belief) I'll try to stay one step ahead this year. I always start out with a good start and then end up with the usual rush which leaves me with that horrible overwhelmed frazzled feeling.

Waiting to see if I hear back from Verizon today about my TV/internet/phone service. I'm figuring if I don't get a call back then I'm not even going to get started with them.

Thinking about all you ladies. Lori, Shar, and Kat, LI-Deb, Kathy have been on my mind all weekend and I hope all is well with them. Those with busy work schedules this coming week hope all goes smoothly.

Well better get my act together and face the fact that I have to go to work! Hope everyone has a great day and a good start to the week ahead!

Wow, when I read how many hours of healthy activity you do, I feel like such a slacker. On top of that you're so incredibly organized. Can you wave a magic wand over me????

Reading your food reminded me that I need to get the steel cut oats back out. I like them with dried Goji berries, pine nuts, and cinnamon in them. I don't add sweetener, because the berries are naturally sweet. I also substitute the berries for jam when I make a PBJ sandwich.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. A couple of times when I probably should have had an animal put down, I just couldn't do it. I had a silky terrier who died in her sleep and my cat that was just shy of 19 years died in my arms. I hope he will go peacefully for everyone's sake. Poor baby.

How nice for you to have Christmas at home. What a difference that makes. Hope I'll have more energy by then, so I can do it up right for the family. I'm sure your place will be a winter wonderland! I used to start humming songs from "The Nutcracker" in August, but don't do that much anymore.

Patty, I like your creative title this morning. Unfortunately, Riley has not shown up. I thought I heard some cats fighting last night and went out in the rain to call her, but nothing. I've been putting dry cat food on the front step and something is eating it at night, but I don't know what. We do have raccoons and possums, so it could be one of them, but I don't think so.

I used the queasy icon just to show I'm sick. Last night my cold when into full blown mode. It never fails. I got hardly any sleep from coughing so hard and so much. I even put the Vicks Vap O Rub on my feet with socks over them to see if that would help, as Mom suggested, but it didn't. At least I have soft feet this morning. Of course, I couldn't go to Zumba. Doubt I'll be able to go to either class tomorrow either. I've been taking all kinds of stuff and drinking lots of fluids, but I guess this is just going to have to run its course. Mom always wants me to run to the dr. right away, but I don't think it's anything the dr. can prescribe antibiotics for at this stage.

It's supposed to be rainy all week. Can't stand it! I am hibernating and my flowers I bought to plant are just setting in their trays. Hope it'll stop long enough for the kids to Trick or Treat. I am holding off on buying candy till the last minute or Rob and
