It's an absolutely beautiful day here on LI. I hope at some point I get outside to enjoy a little bit of it.
I had such a great day yesterday. After leaving LI the weather was still looking dismal and gray and the closer we got to our destination you could tell it had rained. When we got off the bus is was cold and I was fearful that I hadn't dressed appropriately. However after walking around for the first 1/2 hour it began to warm up and the sun finally came out. I got some cute little things for Christmas, a pretty pin for one of my sisters, some great Christmas ornaments including ones that were spun by a woman who raises angora rabbits, sheep and goats. When the animals get their haircuts she uses the wool and makes hats and scarves and the cutest Christmas ornaments. I picked out an angel and a snowman complete with a carrot nose and red earmuffs. I'll give one as a gift and keep one for myself. It was a fun day and I really enjoyed having a girls day out. DH did try to help out around the house yesterday by cleaning the bathroom and running the washer and dryer although he was a bit surprised when I was up doing laundry this morning. He thought that doing the dirty towels and sheets that that would catch everything up. Apparently he didn't see the piles in all the bins and unfolded stuff in the basket. But I did thank him for trying to get a few things done. It is kind of funny though trying to figure out his perspective of what I do on a normal Saturday!
Today I was up and figuring out menus for the week and getting to the grocery store. I'm going to get my nails done and then try to get a handle on the dog hair that's quickly multiplying. I hope by this afternoon my boys will get the rest of the "car junk" out of the living room. That would be nice. I would like to get back to work tomorrow with things a bit more orderly than they are right now.
This time things always messes me up a bit. Even though I'm supposed to be gaining an hour I'm just awake an hour earlier. It takes me about a week to get everything squared away in my head. Not to mention that I have to figure out how to reset the clock in the car. I may have to wait on DH for that one!
Well I have to switch around some laundry and then off to have my nails prettied up a bit.
This is turning out to be a really stellar weekend, I'm happy to report! Riley showed up on her own, IN THE HOUSE yesterday evening! She's been unseen for over a week and suddenly she showed up by Rob's feet near my bedroom door. Keep in mind that she can't even get to about 2/3 of the house because it's closed off by doors. It's a mystery to us. I'm wondering if she went in the

Morning Everyone,
It's just amazing how the thought of an extra hour all day today makes me feel like I got a whole extra day.
