Oh yeah, Karen, stand your ground especially since DH wasn't consulted on when, where or how to have the party. I hope you get to stay home and DH is there with you.

For years we were told that cardio was the more important thing you can do for exercise. But in recent years there is now emphasis on cross training and balance...cardio, strength and stretching. I do notice a big difference in my shape

Go into board settings or your profile and find your signature setting there. I just copied and pasted the things in my signature. I am not high tech and I just got the ideas from other people.

Rainy day made it extra hard to go out and teach that class this morning at the gym I quit. I annouced to the members it was my last week and a got a collective...awwww! So, now who is telling stories about the members not liking how I teach? They are hoping I come back...but they understand. Tomorrow will be my last day. Now I am trying to recharge my batteries to teach 2 classes tonight and not eat!

Nothing much else going on. Have to say you are all very motivating with getting me to put in as much as possible into my workouts. Oh yeah..when I teach I am not supposed to be teaching for me...but I still end up sweating like a piggy and working my muscles hard with the 10lb weights. With the people following me and watching me, I can't cheat on the cardio either. Now that is motivating!

Hope I get the energy to vote. I have a feeling with this weather, I won't be going out a third time.

Last night, our local news station did a "person on the street" segment asking people about voting. Nearly 99% of them said they had no intention of voting. One man (who was clearly more than 18) said he has never voted - now that shocked me. I think I missed one election; that's because I was too sick with the flu to get out.

I vote in them all, no matter how large or small. The main reason? I don't feel I have any right to complain or voice my opinion if I don't vote!

Yes, I saw Dr. Oz on Oprah - and guess what????? I was strength training while I watched it!! I didn't hear the part you spoke of because I went to get more water, but I believe it. I also so most of You: Staying Young on the Discovery Health Channel - they followed the couple that Oprah had on the show. It was really interesting.

It was really what I needed to see and hear since I've recommited to working out and cleaning my diet up some.

Hope everyone has a swell day!! It's cold and dreary here.

I say--hire a goat and spend the afternoon sipping tea and monitor shopping online..monitor as in window shopping :o)

Glad your dog ate something..it's awful when they don't eat anything and you can't help them.

The changes in CL sound exciting! Hope they'll make for less work and better results for you.

I'm doing somewhat better. Still feel weak in the lungs and cough occasionally, so I'm taking it easier than usual. Thanks for asking.

I could not find a ready-made sofa that I liked. That's probably a hazard of being a designer. I searched for
