on another site I read and someone wrote this--I wanted your thoughts:

Sometimes I put on a coat and my mother's hand comes out the sleeve

ever feel that way?

I've learned I'd rather be alone than in a bad relationship. You can be even more alone stuck in one of those. So many things we finally come to terms with, but I'm afraid it takes age and experience rather than someone telling us. Mom tried to tell me many things that I wasn't ready to hear or mature enough to understand emotionally.

Morning Gals,.

I wanted to add to this thread last night but I ended up dozing on the loveseat with my laptop on my lap!

Going to give the folks a call today--curious to ask if either ever felt they had a mid-life crisis or the re-evaluation of where your life is because I never remember it if they did.

I was supposed to be "on sabbatical" when I left my job as an interior designer/project manager in 12/00. Well, almost 7 years later, I'm still not working and really like it that way. I also got very involved in volunteer things for a while, but have backed off a lot. I'm sure as election time draws closer, I'll become more involved again.

I must be still going through a mid-life crisis, because I'd take diamonds in a heartbeat! LOL! I don't think our parents' generation talked much about what they were feeling to their kids. At least mine didn't. The 2 generations were much more distinct and separate than what I see with parents and kids now. Do you notice that?

Felt I needed to clarify my post. After reading through some of the posts again, I became concerned that my post above might have come as across as being judgmental or something
