Going to try to catch it too. I have two chances at 4 or 7 pm.

Just wish they would show "everyday" clothes and shoes. Those heels are killers!

I just watched the Oprah show and I loved the looks but just my 2 cents worth here...........I also love the show What Not to Wear on TLC as I know many of you do too..........have you ever wondered the following and where would we get the answers to some of these questions and thoughts............Do they really throw away a persons entire wardrobe? Do they donate those clothes to shelters or do they actually get trashed? Don't they realize the "average" person does not wear high heels or dress up most days unless going to work? Do they not realize the "average" person can not afford to shop at Saks 5th Ave or Macys for the regular everyday stuff, rather we shop at stores like Target and Kohls? What about the short person, paying to have clothes tailored gets costly making me put back many an item? Does the average person really pay over $100 for one pair of jeans? Any other questions you can think of? Give me time I know I got more going.......................

OMG I am a wicked WNTW fan!!!

They donate the clothes to charity.

Don't they realize the "average" person does not wear high heels or dress up most days unless going to work?

On WNTW they do address these issues; they do not give everyone high heels, and they recommend a comfort brand for many women who say they simply don't wear heels. It's amazing how much cuter the flatter shoes have gotten. (Or am I just getting older?)

Did you see some of those adorable flat boots they showed? Wow, they were nice; I particularly liked the black patent leather - woohoo!!!

Do they not realize the "average" person can not afford to shop at Saks 5th Ave or Macys for the regular everyday stuff, rather we shop at stores like Target and Kohls?

It was sort of interesting that the "low end" outfits were still in the $300 range (that's for the jean outfit.) On WNTW they address this a lot better than they did today on Oprah. I think they've mellowed over time after dealing with real women on budgets who say that they can't spend that kind of money at home and need to learn how to be stylish on their budgets. I mean in Oprah's magazine the things she loves items are way over my budget...and probably most average people. I personally do not buy clothing at Kohls; I can never find anything there. I have gotten some fantastic deals at Target. I tend to shop at Marshalls and (gasp) The Salvation Army, where I have gotten many an item with the original sales tag still on it. I think that the people who put these shows together have somehow forgotten (or maybe never knew?) that it is possible to get nice things without spending inordinate amounts of money -- WNTW is somewhat fantasy, dontcha think?

I'm short but have long legs, so petite pants are almost always too short for me. I tend to buy as high quality pants as I can because I wear them at work a lot; then, I don't mind terribly having to take them up. But, if I bought a lot of pants and had to pay for every one of them to get taken up, that would be really costly. And, I'll tell you a secret...shhh, don't tell anyone...my husband actually recommended that I buy a pair of jeans at this little boutique store that I go to just to look. The least expensive pair their is $100. I almost fainted when he said that :). I did buy a pair of Ann Taylor jeans a few years ago; they are wide-legged and tailored; they were probably $65, which I thought was a LOT, but they look very nice, and they've lasted a long time.

I just love talking about clothes?

What I want to know is - who does their hair after the sheeshee hair dressers have cut, colored, and styled it??????

Who in the heck is gonna spend $3,000 on a trench coat? OUCH - it was beautiful, but still, OUCH!!

Personally, I think that people who look really stylish, and can do it on a budget deserve a lot more credit than we get. ;-)
