Ok--I had five guys out here for almost eight hours cutting down huge trees and clearing out what I call the jungle around here.

I've often done things that I've thought would be big mistakes and weren't and there were always the ones that turned out to be!
We had a huge tree removed from our backyard shortly after we moved here. I have to say watching them take that tree down was nerve racking!
Hope Eric likes the results!

I kept going from window to window in the front and back of the house when they were taking them down.

Hey, trees are like hair, they just grow a little more slowly... ;-) If Eric doesn't like the bareness, that may change after he's had some time to get used to it. If not, you can always plant some of the smaller trees that grow as fast as shrubs to fill it back in. He may surprise you and be relieved not to have to worry about trees falling on the house. Tim leaves all the house and yard decisions up to me. We may have to OK the cost first if it's major, but the way it looks, what goes or stays, landscaping, colors, etc., are all my domain. LOL!
I'm eager to hear his reaction.

You and Susan are right Nancy--I was second guessing myself and it turned out fine.
I know exactly what you mean!
I'm so glad it turned out ok. I can imagine how scary it

I bet it was scary after having so many trees to suddenly see this tree free barren piece of property. I bet after it's done though you're going to have a beautiful backyard that you're both going to love and enjoy!
