I got an early start to get to my oil change appt. and was pleasantly surprised to find it was 53 out instead of the low 40's. I was pretty comfy in a sweatshirt, jeans, shoes, and socks. I made a quick stop by Panera for some hot Earl Grey and one of their egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches on grilled ciabatta. Yum! First time I'd had one, but Rob had given rave reviews on one with bacon. Going to the dealership took a lot longer than Jiffy Lube or somewhere like that -- an hour and 15 minutes, but I met some nice people I talked to.

I went to the mall for a little while, because it's been weeks (it seems) since I've been there. Belk is having a big charity sale coming up, so I wanted to do a little scouting to see if there's anything I want to have put aside. Surprisingly, I didn't see anything except some Fitz and Floyd serving pieces that aren't in the budget this year.

Headed to the nursing home from the mall. Called Dad to see how he was doing, and I could tell he still wasn't feeling well. He was dozing in his wheel chair when I got there, but perked up a little. He had been to physical therapy, but he said a man in a white coat (probably his case worker) sent him "home" because he was "this close" to going to the ER last night. He needed a day off. I talked to the nurse, and she said they had gotten a specimen to have tested for a UTI. Glad they were on the ball about that. I expected to get a call from Mom or someone, but nothing.

Dad's brother, who's my favorite uncle, came in during lunch and that perked Dad up more. He brought a dozen just iced

I am quite proud of the fact that I worked out four days this week already !!! I haven't done that in awhile. Tomorrow, I have another workout planned and then Sunday, I'll rest and prepare for next week's workouts.

After watching a repeat of National Body Challenge, I'm going to modify a quote I heard and print it out for the refrigerator. "If I want to look my best on vacation, eating pie and drinking alcohol are not an option." We'll see how it works out :).

This is week 2 with my 'new' hairdo. The first time he cut it, I wasn't sure, and I hated it after I washed it. So, I went back, and he put a gloss on it, which toned down the bleachy blondeness and helped the texture. I told him what I didn't like, and he did a modification of the haircut and gave me blowdry 101. So far, it's working out really well! I also got new glasses but nobody has noticed - that bothers me - I got my hair done and new glasses; you'd think someone would notice. Oh, well. I know I look good lol.

Tomorrow, we're taking the car to Midas to get the windshield wipers fixed. While they're doing that, we're going to walk over to a local diner and have breakfast. Then, I have to run some errands and work out.

DH is sort of moody tonight. He won't tell me what's wrong, but that's typical, so I'm just waiting it out like I usually do. He's making dinner right now; salmon fillets, candied sweet potatoes, green beans. Yum...

How do people not notice??? Sheesh! I'm glad you went back and are happier with it. I bet it, and the new glasses, look great.

Great job on the workouts!

Well it was a chilly and wet day here but I was busy during most of it. I never called the office, they never called me and I never stopped to pick up my paycheck, yeah for me! I figure it will be there come Monday! I managed my morning walk so that felt good to get out of the way. I managed to several batches of laundry, work clothes from the guys, work clothes of mine, towels.........you get the idea. I managed to get the window from upstairs washed and all new winter drapes up, the upstairs bathroom is clean, the wood furniture all Old Englished (Has anyone tried the Old English Almond scent? I love it!), the upstairs vacuumed and my kitchen floor washed (6 times). Yes you read that correct, I washed it with PineSol twice, rinsed it twice with hot water and then 2 coats of Future. I worked up a sweat doing that. In between kitchen floor detail I watched 2 shows that I had Tivoed.........Grays Anatomy and Boston Legal. Grabbed a hot shower sometime around 3 and then met up with my sister around 4. We enjoyed a nice cup of tea and watched Oprah together which was with the Osmond family. Headed home around 6:00 and did some more picking up around here, left the down stairs kind of messy. I will work on down here tomorrow while waiting for my Peapod order. I just ordered some Chineese food for dinner and I need to head out to pick it up. Katie is in the shower and the boys are in their rooms watching TV, I think. My hubby is still at the shop doing his Friday night paper work and should be home soon. I hope to watch some MORE TV tonight and get under my blankets early since it is so miserable out there. Just a note with something Marie Osmond said today on the show. She briefly discussed the fact of being on DWTS at her age and how she would "rather climb a mountain then crawl into a hole" and wow that really impressed me. Hope you all had a wonderful day today and a nice quiet night, if that is what you all want!

I went to Jazzercise this morning then came home and cleaned up - meaning I put actual street clothes on after my shower.

I wonder if they have Tivo at Costco?
