Update from Phyllis --

We have so much coming this time of year that it’s hard to pin point.

Rhonda, thanks for looking into this. So we send things to Phyllis to get out to others? Also how would we send the protein bars? I was confused by the ( not a whole box). Is that just so she can give some to each person?

I think Phyllis could split up the bars. What I was thinking is that I might make some stockings prior to sending them and she could give out the stockings. I'm sure there have to be some kind of smaller ones that are very inexpensive. I even mentioned putting some wrapped biscotti in there. I know they can use things like lip balm with sunscreen in it and any kind of small toiletries. They don't have to cost a lot. There are boxes of individually wrapped wet ones and a few of those could go in each stocking. I'm sure there are times when those come in really handy. They don't have room to store a lot of stuff when they're on duty. I bet mini bags of candy (like from Halloween) would be appreciated too. Seems I heard that M&M's are popular. Of course, we have to be careful about things that will melt. Those may melt even if they don't melt in your hand. ;-) I'll have to jump on this soon, since I'm sure it takes quite a while to get there. Maybe I could write Thank-you! on each one with a laundry marker or paint pen. There won't be nearly enough for everyone, so I'm not sure how she'll divvy them up. I guess I could just do them in baggies to save money and use the money I'd have spent on stockings to buy more items and make them go further. Yep, I can still use a colored Sharpie to write on the bags, and they'd probably like being able to see through them for security reasons.
