Good morning everyone. Could this be the year I really get my crown??? When I woke up this morning I was dreaming that I was getting dressed for a beauty contest. Think I

Good Morning,
A gray and warm November day here on LI. Rain and wind expected which is supposed to lower those temperatures back to November.
Not sure whether the alarm went off or not this morning since I have absolutely no recollection of turning it off. I did get to the basement for a walk video. Feeling a bit sleepy and unenergetic this morning but I think it's partly due to the weather although by Thursday I tend to start feeling this way. Knee and hip are bothering me a bit too so I think a lower key workout was probably the best idea.
Off to work in a few minutes. Never know what fun filled activity could possibly be part of the day there!
I'm making a turkey sausage soup and hope to get some bread in the bread machine for tonight's dinner. Rainy nights are always good soup nights.
Thankful this week for sweatpants and sweatshirts. I love to come through the door after work and hurry into my comfy clothes! Thankful for the great day I had with DD and for vacation days. Thankful for my family, home and job.
Better get a move on since I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store before work.
Hope everyone is doing well this morning and hope everyone has a good day.
Susan
Good Morning Ladies,
This is the perfect time of year to recommit to fitness...Instead of gaining the usual five or ten lbs you'll be that much ahead of the game when everyone else is just starting out!!! This is also a very busy time of year with much hustling and bustling, much to preoccupy the mind with. Also when your cooking lots of food the urge to eat is quenched from all the aromas... Speaking for myself anyhow...
Got some great news yesterday!!! Looks like all of my five sons will be with me this Thanksgiving...Men have a tendency to follow the women in their lives and trying to get them all together at the same time is complex...
In keeping with the theme, I'm thankful for my family...All those with me today and those I miss very dearly...Always, always in my heart!!!
Weather in Michigan cold! Highs in the forties, lows in the thirties!!!
Everyone keep warm, Jan
Ps...Still cant figure out why my posts run off the page!!!
Jan
How wonderful to have all 5 sons with you for Thanksgiving! I can see why you'd be ecstatic!
A very few times my posts have run off the page, but I never knew why. Maybe you could email the tech support at iVillage to ask why.
Oh, and brrrrrr!!

I think I must be getting in the spirit of the season. Last night I went through a large folder of recipes I've collected over the last few years to see if any of them would be good additions to the Thanksgiving and/or Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menus. This from someone who avoids the like new stove at all costs. Maybe I'll regain my old love of cooking temporarily. It'd be nice if it would stay, because it would actually save money and would give us more family time if I insisted on a set meal time and eating together instead of in various rooms of the house. We're way too scattered!
I'd like to get more flowers and put them out today after I get the front bed weeded. Tim said the temperature is supposed to drop. It was 74 earlier this morning and had dropped to 70 by 9-something, so if I'm going to do it I should get a move on. It may go into the 40's tonight. By Saturday morning they're predicting high 30's. Boo!!! I hope the 3 foxtail palms I planted this summer will weather the winter OK. They're really native to South Florida, but have gradually been getting planted farther north. This is the first year I've seen them available here, although I do see them inside malls like houseplants. The fronds have leaves (?) all the way around which makes them bushier and fuller than other varities. Here's a picture of one in front of my house (in my dreams!!!).
The cooler weather will help sweeten the honeybells a bit. Found a number of recipes last night I can use the juice and rind in. See the "bell" on top? Patty and Sassy can vouch for them, because I took some to them several years ago. Wish I'd be up that way again to do it.

A taste that's out of this world!
Got a call at 8 AM that my chest X-ray came back normal, so I'm relieved about that. Still, I started coughing some again late last night and am a little this AM. Very weird! I will still take it easy.
Susan, today is THURSDAY!! LOL! Only one more day till TGIF! Stay warm. I really commend you for how you get up early, even if you don't recall doing it, and get in a workout. I should be so motivated.
Thankfuls:
1. Tim and I continue to make progress.
2. I'm feeling better.
3. Time with Mom and Dad which I cherish daily
4. Ability to help some of the military
5. All the military does for us
6. Family and friends near and far

PS -- I was looking for a "Keep Off" or "Keep Off the Flowers" sign that was tastefully done, but the only thing I could find was "Keep Off the

Debbie, I am so sorry about Bingo, but after reading your post I know you did the right and humane thing. It doesn't make the good-bye and the loss any easier, but try to take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering. He is probably playing chase with Dingo.
Hugs,
